... and bought a new shiny bauble, pic here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/arr...y-recently-watches.8930/page-640#post-1222596

As rumored, prices did go up today, my $4850 Seamaster is now $5200 on the Omega US web site. So, a bit more than a 7% increase.

I was trying to get a deal from a grey market/reseller, but no one could produce a blue one and in several cases my emails went unanswered. I decided that paying a bit more for piece of mind (a real warranty) and supporting my local business was worth it.

As usual, the guy I had dealt with at the store was on vacation yesterday, so I bought it from whoever answered the phone, as I called before I went over. She offered to size it for me, and so I said "let's put the adjustment in the middle first". She didn't know what I meant, so I had to show her. "Oh, I learned something new today!" she said. Oy, another salesperson who doesn't know the product very well. Then she wanted my phone number, which I typically don't like to share. I asked why. She said, "to call you when the watch is ready. We have to send it downstairs," presumably to another store in the mall to have it sized. I told her "never mind, I'll do it myself" which I did last night.

Don't ask me about the 30 minutes I spent searching for the little screw that I dropped.

What does “adjustment in middle” mean? Can you demonstrate?

Congrats on your seamaster.

Congratulations on your watch. Photo please.
It seems some AD have good knowledge on the Omegas and some don't. OD of course will always have the full knowledge and provide you with high class when visiting their store.

Hopefully this pic helps. It's a micro adjustment in the clasp with about 6 settings maybe 1mm apart.

You push where it says "push" and you can slide the bracelet inside the clasp. It's like the "microadjustment" on the Rolex submariner, but actually a lot slicker and easier to use.

Thanks for sharing @mjb - Had no idea that was an Omega bracelet feature. Nice!

I didn't know this was a feature either. Does anyone know if this only come on newer Seamasters? Or certain bracelets?

I know that you can swap the clasp on the prior generation SMPc (2012-2017 model) for the new adjustable clasp. Any OB can do it for you while you wait. Not sure about the cost. I don’t whether the new clasp is available on any other new models or whether the new clasp will fit any other older model other than the SMPc.
