The millions of hours Omega probably spent on the marketing and the decisions behind every character of the caseback, makes this so egregious and at the same time pretty cool. I wanted to engrave my sapphire 3861 so someone like me might actually consider buying the defective caseback since its OEM.

I would 100% do this. I have an Apollo LE bought at Omega Boutique and I asked for a letterhead and now it’s a unique piece. Ofcourse if in the future I decide that I want the writing in the back, I can send it back and they can replace rhe caseback.

Hmm, I would request an official statement from Omega that this is a flaw with that specific watch and keep it.
