I do not think Omega will help. In the UK Simon Freese has the most experince now I think = http://www.simonfreesewatchmakers.com/
You can also try @wristpirate as Simon is sometimes at his boutique Tortoise Watches now. https://tortoisewatches.com/pages/london-boutique
The main issue is parts now, but I guess adustment is different, although warranty becomes a problem. Also I know Simon has a lot on currently.
Agreed. Thanks for the lead, I will definitely reach out to Simon.

Assuming at least a few folks here will have the same watch and will have troubleshooted the same problem.

Any other inputs would be much appreciated from the community.

Thanks. Would appreciate if someone could provide a more pragmatic/ real world solution.
That was an uncalled for response. That was a very real world and pragmatic response considering this is not a run of the mill quartz and only a handful of people in the world know how to work on them and are willing to do so. Going to the source is pragmatic. Don’t be a jerk when you are the one begging for help.

As most Swiss he is a scrooge and dont want to spend any money on that watch.
Not the best way with an complicated movement like it is and with the rarity or better absence on spare parts.
His exptectation was like "take a screwdriver and turn screw 3 one time to the left and problem solved"

Bringing things back on topic.

I do believe there should be a multitude of very strong knowledge on the 1510/11/16 and how maintenance, service, troubleshooting can be executed for these movements.

I have done some research online and have not yet been able to find quality service manuals, or materials where owners have undertaken and documented such activities.

My assumption is that there will be some on this forum who have gone through that process, have some documentation, guidance, tips. And I would sincerely appreciate to hear from those.

Wishing you all a nice day.

But you dont introduce yourself and we don know you.
Therefore the assumption is strong that you want to make some quick money with your watch who after you do some googling seems to fetch high prices if its running well.
Dont get me wrong nothin to say against selling a watch but therefore the will to help is low you`re not a collector after all.
Do all the work on your own like we all have done and dont expect we give all our invested time and money for free.

Your best bet is to sell the watch as a donor.

Understood. I didn't see that angle, I see why some on the forum would be guarded against such a profile.

I'm actually super enthusiastic about these movements, I've had a few early Omega quartz models, and would like to repair this particular one as a hobby (and to build my knowledge). This is the first one where I've had a performance issue and would really like to take the opportunity to learn.

It is concerning that your advice is to sell as a donor. Is it such a "lost cause" indicator when the movement is running slow? I went on the assumption that there is some scope to perform some level of maintenance on these. Depending on the root cause, the issue may be remediated. I would at least like to understand myself what the issue is and then make a decision on what action to take next.

Are you familiar with this movement?

It`s a common failure, as I said earlier its the quartz that is going to be quite old but there can be other failures to or its a combination of them.
To be sure you need special equipment back from the day and if you`re lucky to find one mostly they`re in bad shape.
First you`ve to repair them, then to find the manuals, its some kind of endless rabbit hole or better nightmare and you`ve to spend some serious money meanwhile.
And even then you end up with no spare parts.
There is a reason why the specialists dont touch that movement anymore.
Ask Omega in Biel and if they say no you have no chance nowadays.

Reading back the thread it looks like for the UK Simon and STS are not servicing, maybe they would attempt an adjustment. Looking back at my old notes I found this if anyone is brave.....
.

This is the instruction how to adjust a 1511 (also the 1510 I expect).

Hi, siraifun is completely right. This is not DYI job until you have proper skills and tools. There can be some small adjustment done by turning the oscilator screw, but I have no idea what does it mean very slow...

Interesting, are these pictures of yours ?
They had to change the motor and source it in Switzerland. It's maybe due to the pics but it doesn't look like they did a great job on the case, the sharp angles that are striking in this design appear all very rounded.

I am not sure, if I am too late for the party...
My name is Marius, I just bought an Omega Constellation Megaquartz in gold with the Stardust dial. I have 8 pages of the Technical Guide, sadly only in Italian.
Hello Marius, Would you be willing to share a copy of the document?

Hi there, the flesh is willing, the mind is weak. I tried to post it in my former message. After the link, it says 1510-Technical Guide. Please try that, if that wont work, we have to find another way.

Hey Marius, thanks for the document. I didn't realize there were two links in your previous message. I had only clicked the German website.
It's a terrific document btw.
