Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

I am in the position of looking at a 212.30.41.20.03.001 that is used for Cdn $3600. It was purchased from an AD in my city in 2016 and the warranty has expired. The seller is local and has the original documents. The local watch was MSRP Cdn $4950 and was purchased for $4800, all taxes included. The local AD said it has been discontinued and not available.
On the other hand, through Chronos 24, I am looking at a brand new 212.30.41.20.03.001 for Cdn $4020 from Montauk Group Ltd in Switzerland. Montauk Group Ltd said their watch was from an AD and that it will have the stamped five-year warranty. If I buy the watch from Montauk Group Ltd it will cost me a total of Cdn $4700 after taxes and duties. Is the five-year warranty and a new watch worth an extra $1100, or should I have confidence in the same watch purchased from a local AD three years ago and save $1100? Maybe I should go to the local AD and see what kind of new watch, close to the 212.30.41.20.03.001 that I can get for $4800?

Any shared insights would be welcome. And, yes, I am a bit of a waffler!

Cheers

Check with some of the 'trusted sellers/ resellers' on OF. Good chance you can net a slightly used that still has the balance of the warranty at a good price (I was able to get a Speedmaster Pro and a Tintin this way).
