Looking for a vintage piece at 37mm or larger

I am in the market for a vintage dress watch, ideally Omega.

The issue that I am having is that all of the ones I am seeing that I like are too small for my tastes. I appreciate that it is the nature of the beast with a vintage watch but are you guys able to recommend any that are on the larger size?

In terms of what I am ideally after:
- silver metal case (not sterling, just as opposed to yellow gold),
- preferably a lighter dial,
- applied Omega logo and ideally applied hour markers as well
- minimum of 37mm excluding crown

I have a feeling the 37mm may be an issue. @dsio kindly highlighted http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/381627606930?clk_rvr_id=1030862541606&rmvSB=true in the recommended thread. That ticked a lot of boxes but was just a tad to small (at 37mm inc crown).

In terms of price I would ideally like to keep it sub $1k.

Am I just going to have to suck it up and accept that watches in this range are mostly sub 37mm?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

Thanks Joe.

These are certainly nice - I am not 100% sold on the style. I will keep looking, though, and see if they grown on me.

Someone recently asked similar questions about bigger vintage Omegas, and he succeeded in finding one quite quickly

The 2505 came in different styles so you've got a fair range to choose from. Have fun and good luck!

There are some lovely ones in those threads. A particularly nice honeycomb dial that hoipolloi posted!

Thanks for the input, guys.

Noticed a couple of nice Seamasters and Constellations in there too! Quite a few to choose from then!

Yes, we are lucky in that omega did produce a fair share of 'jumbo' vintage models/references. With rolex, if the sub is not your cup of tea, your only other bet is the datejust at 36mm..
