Added a few this year and it's a shootout between these 2. And the A386 wins it. All because it was a gamble which paid off.

Its a 1915 Waltham model '92 CPR special... sorry guys....

Tough choice in a good year... but I'm going to go way back to January 2013...

I did not expect to do much with watches this year, but of course ended up shifting many around. The best incoming has to be this ZRC Grands Fonds 300m, a dive watch I wanted before I started collecting dive watches.

Last week I had an opportunity to re-acquire a Bulova 7605, one of only two sales/trades that I regret. This one is much nicer than the one I let go:

And I guess I have to acknowledge another finally-got-one, a Carrera 3647:

Happy holidays to all!
😁

Great set, Sir!

I was preoccupied with other subjects this year as compared with the previous year in that my watch collection saw more action & additions, I think this IWC is my favorite acquisition of 2013. ypesybeg.jpg

this thread has made me realize I am waaay behind on photography. It has been a great year, however - possibly the best yet. It seems like I say that every year, but this just keeps getting better.

Top 3

Number 3: Omega Speedmaster 2998-5

Number 2: Zenith Captain Chronometer in rose gold in all but mint condition

Number 1: first year it's not a Zenith - Heuer Skipperera ref 7734 - not mint, but what a watch!

Hi

Hard to pick out the "best" or favorite...

these two come to mind... they did not leave the factory in Bienne this way but they are uncommon...

First a 16 size american aka 19"' Omega pocket chronometre caliber is a DDR !!
pics as found recase in an open face base metal case, I have since located a Keystone Sterling Silver hunting case that is where this movement is going !

and a MADE up fake military style manual wind over size...

I liked that the dial was signed Chronometre..... and then loved it when I opened the back ..

Good Hunting

Nothing to sorry about Fritz. That's one beautiful Waltham pocket watch 👍

If I had to narrow it down to one, it would be this gilt 1675 from '66, which I was reminded of wearing it today...mainly because it's just so darned gorgeous to wear, and in really NM condition.

The cold steel blade pierces the heart and blood covers the new mattress on the showroom floor; there'll be no Striper fishing on the morrow.

Might I suggest this for Bill's avatar picture?

He needs something, and I rather not see dogs playing poker, or anything like that.

I see somebody beat me to the draw. It looks good!

Thanks for the dog's playing poker idea too, although it might be too complex in such a small space.

A busy year. Many contenders but two Lemanias and one Omega will at least form top three:

And of course this one:

A good year it was!

This was an easy choice for me because it took me 3 times to finally land one.

I would go with the speedmaster for this year. The baby crawled all around the kitchen floor with it and it was fine. Well that was luck. Looking for the omega liquid metal then that is it. Well maybe
