·This isn’t the first time that it’s happened to me. And I hope the same does not happen for you.
Some years ago I bought a seamaster deville. Checked all the boxes. I saw a smidge of dirt on the bezel and rubbed it off… then I saw what looked to be a hairline scratch so I ran my fingernail through it like any other would 😀rolleyes😀. It was deeper than I thought lol so I kept going then boom it CRACKED APART lol no way that I could’ve done that right? I look closer and it was glue or something holding it together.
and just recently I bought a seamaster. Now the bezel did not crack after the test but it will eventually down the line. Moisture or air yatta yatta will fill it and science yatta yatta will expand the space.
If you see a hairline scratch on a steel or whatever bezel and check the bevel/side and see another, then AVOID THE WATCH DO NOT BUY. YOU WILL NEVER FIND A REPLACEMENT BEZEL.
Just wanted to give a heads up! And yes, I was able to return both watches. Is this on anyone else’s checklist?
