So far, my serial number range is 3,70 to 7,74. My extract range is 1935 (5,31) to 1948 (7,50).

I am sure many have read that the range between 3 million to prior to 5 million is suggested by AD and others to be previously created movements 1922 that were likely used for the c1936/37 batch.

One other note: Has anyone ever seen a confirmed 4 million number? I have not.

This particular example seems hardly military, the engraving at the back says « “in memory of july 6, 1938, “Longines””.
Very strange. As if Longines itself had signed the dedication.

The current "owner" actually more like retailer of it says it is the original band they came with. Not saying that this is necessarily only for military. Just that this is the original bands.

Seems production of new movements for 3582 began somewhere around 5 million.

Guess we should ask them! Do you have a movement shot evidencing the serial number? They might be up to do a search to figure out what happened to this watch...

Sure but are all those pics from Davidonî’s web site ? One would think he has the answer if that were the case.
In any event I’d need to know where they’re from if I query Longines. (And the owner may want to be credited).

I’m not worried about “safety” but would need to know the source if I’m going to send a picture to Longines.
Whether it’s Davidoni or someone else is equal to me.

I wonder...Longines commemorate or response of the fight for Czechoslovakia's freedom?

@Seiji thanks for the great photos! Very nice to see dials with this level of clarity and magnification!
