    Hello Everyone,

I’m about to buy my first Omega: a planet ocean ref 215.30.44.21.01.001, I live in Brazil and the list price as seen on the website is $5900 (BRL 25.600) the AD is offering me the watch for $4782 (BRL 20.400) that would be a 20% discount on the list. I would like to know if the price is good? Compared to USA or UK for example? I travel a lot and if it’s not a good deal I would wait.

    thanks

Think it all depends on the location of the AD, your relationship and others. At Canada ADs, I've seen anything between 10 - 16% off retail. 20% seems pretty good.

I think it's a good price as well. That's about the same as the discount I received when buying my PO about 5 years ago, and it was through a 'trusted reseller' (complete with valid warranty card, etc.).

I think you should focus on the price in your country because there might be small but real tarrifs that affect the price, plus any value-added tax.

But I agree 20% is pretty good!

Ok it seems a good price then! The AD just have the PO with the orange bezel, but the black one will arrive this week. I went today again to the AD and I put the aqua terra on. It is also a good everyday watch! I am in doubt if I take the PO or the aqua terra. I tried a Explorer also, its a nice watch! But to dangerous to use in Brazil! 75CA1A02-A702-4941-95E7-9BF7E8EF055F.jpeg 574C8DBC-7809-46E4-A35E-0EA9CA788BCF.jpeg ACEE933A-0C5F-4394-9707-229FF58228EA.jpeg D1E0244A-AF38-4FEF-8443-B974E8EB8D36.jpeg 8BACB09C-944B-4672-9783-B9AFF1325D07.jpeg

Yes the thinner one are more comfortable to everyday wear! But I think the PO is the best one. And compared to Rolex the omega has the sapphire back that shows the movement!

If that's what you like, then that's what really matters!

The black bezel PO will arrive tomorrow, but I was yesterday at the AD and tried the SMP, at first I didn’t want to try it because I think that the hands are a little complex to read time. But when I tried on it is a very special watch I must say. I am considering to buy this one in the place of the PO. The price is the same! 73F47A8F-BECD-4E80-9126-EFF740BB3959.jpeg B62154DE-D1AC-4518-A9C1-B45500B9DF95.jpeg FCE9C7E9-184F-4BC1-8819-DECF3C59C02D.jpeg

If you get the PO you will end up with the AT later. And the other way round . I think the AT is more form oriented and the PO more function. If the AT had better lume it would, to me, be almost perfect. Here are mine... 20190613_135710.jpg 20180105_164644.jpg
    Tough choice.

    have fun

FD98C4CA-5D4C-4902-B0B4-5EAD814949CE.jpeg Hello! The PO in Black finally arrived and tried it on. But I tried the SMP 300 and it was the choice and I pulled the trigger! The price for the PO was better but my choice was the SMP. Thats why is very important to buy I watch just after trying it on! Just seeing the pictures on the internet I wanted de PO black! Here are some pictures!

    100%

After selling off my 2502 AT's a number of years ago to help fund a CeraGold PO I've started the re-acquisition process of adding an AT or 2 back (maybe this time the vertical stripe master-coaxial) into the collection. Since selling my original three I must have convinced 3 or 4 friends to buy the AT over a ton of other options. Absolutely love those watches.

Congrats on the new watch! It looks great, such a versatile watch. I have the blue SMPc and have a hard time justifying switching to something else in my box because it is the most comfortable and capable watch I have.
