·It's a fairly strong example. If it is as it appears to be, it should command a better than average price for the reference, I believe.

·It’s a very nice example, but some of the lume plots aren’t perfect, and the bezel isn’t what I would call mint either.

·If the indices were perfect....and the bezel...I'd be a little suspicious. Perfection is overrated. How often do you see one like this for sale?

·I guess my point is that the price seems on the stronger side of things, given that, recently, they have been a tad flat.

·I haven't been buying them recently, so your take is probably more accurate. It is probably more likely to sell at 15k usd. Would help to see the bracelet, end pieces. 15 to 20 is reasonable if it's right.

·Is it a 1039? Ends look right. So you are seriously considering buying it? I must have missed that before. I have not spent any time buying or shopping for a 321 in several years. I'd recommend getting the opinion of a certain Speedmaster nut/fruit. He seems to keep his finger closer to the pulse.

·Hard to tell, but this case looks polished to me. The full package does make it appealing to a segment of collectors. But the case condition and the lume loss and minor staining on a few of the plots would be a little too much for my preference. Also, I would expect the asking price to have been negotiated down somewhat - this watch didn’t sell immediately after the dealer posted it on instagram. Took at least a week to go on hold. All that said, still a nice looking 105.012 on the wrist.

·The current fixation on minor polishing is mostly an issue because certain collectors instructed others to care (far too much in my opinion) about light polishing. If the lugs are half gone....ok. I collected for 30 yrs before I heard ANYONE talk about polish as if it were the end of the world. Polishing was simply a given for many years when watches went in for standard service. I'll be thrilled when that trend is part of history.
