Hallo friends of vintage Omegas and their dials,
I like this thread very much due to the wonderful watches shown.
But I am a bit frustrated, not being able to learn what is what.
I miss a sort of classification:
  • Is Hobnail vertical rectangular, while Waffle is diagonal structured?
  • What is the difference between Honeycomb and Waffle?
  • Textile I mostly see on C-shape Omegas, right?
(I would concentrate on Omega exemples and keep other brands out.)

Movement was missing bumper springs when the watch arrived! Luckily my watchmaker managed to find replacements.

An unusually large steel case with a waffle dial and elegant pink-gold furniture. 😀

My 2648 might be one of the earliest versions of the ‘black waffle dial’ found in the Constellation line.

Stunning. Has anyone called dibs yet? If not, put me at the top of the list!

You’re probably at the top of the list… but third page 😂
