This Lemania just sneaks under the electrocution bar.

Looks like a 3170 but it seems to have lost a jewel.

This is lovely

Thank you. While the dial is obviously an attractive, true Art Deco style, I also like the uncommon flat lug design very much. I have a seen one or two vintage Audemars Piguet models with similar cases.

This is my late father in law’s watch. It’s 31mm, and always comes to mind when people ask “is this a man’s watch?”

The dial features the Canadian Army logo, and he would have purchased it after his service in the First Special Service Force in WWII. The First Special Service Force (AKA the Devil’s Brigade) was a joint USA & Canadian unit that was assigned a lot of harrowing and up close work.

Though he was a Canadian, they all wore US uniforms and used US equipment (not him shown)

The unit received many honours, including the US Congressional Gold Medal and a Canadian Silver $5 piece.

And, a ladies Gruen with the same vibe, with sliding clasp bracelet! Good run time.
Needs service and new crystal.
