I don't see any ugly watches here. The NZL-32, the Globemasters, the Moonwatch Orbis, the Constellations, the vintage ones and especially the Spacemaster Z-33 are all beautiful. I'd prefer to have those watches and have variety than have 10 Rolex maxicase divewatches that all look the same.
Man, I'm so glad you've all shown me these references. Makes me feel good about myself and what I've bought by comparison.
This also deserves a place here... (and again, everything posted here is only the opinion of an individual ... "beauty is in the eye of the beholder")
Absolutely governor! But they will get over it. Anyway... I quite like these watches. Fakk my old boots! I think I have discovered a whole section of watch collecting that appeals to me. Does this mean I'm some kind of horological-deviant?

Hmm..ok I can admit that I saw some ugly omega watches in this thread but some in my opinion looks very good so I think Omega make watches for all the tastes..so many people many tastes..
If that's sarcasm, well played. If that's serious, I respect your opinion, and vehemently disagree... And I still hate the "tumblehome" case design of the Z-33. Honestly, I'm not a fan of the Mk-II either, or the Mk-III (below), whose single major design change seemed to be making the watch arbitrarily thicker and adding MORE tumblehome (because, hey, it's 1972!), but to each, their own. Finally, my "deal breaker" watch features are, in no particular order: 1.) Excessive or unnecessary case thickness or diameter. 2.) Diamond studded anything. 3.) An angled date window at 4:30. These seem popular, but I just can't get on board.
Hey now, I can take it when you guys call my favorite watch designs ugly, but I can't abide disrespecting the 1040 movement. That's where I draw the ligne
