Seamaster 30. Ref: 135.003-62.
Quite common model but finding a good example is a tough task.
This one has a lovely dial with arrow indexes, all lume intact and no marks whatsoever. Just a very honest watch that gives me great pleasure.

Hi everyone,
I'm new here and want to share pictures of my humble Ref. 14713 and Ref. 14391 (both cal. 268).
The dial on 14391 is in a bit of a rough shape. There's some mismatch between markers and hands so I assume the hands were replaced at some point. They are both serviced, running strong and I use them daily.
Would love to hear some opinions on how you assess their condition.
Thanks!

I bought a nice pale blue band for my old 30T2, for my wife to wear it on, and it is now 'officially' no longer mine... Oh well, it's nice to see it being worn every day!

...not perfect. Maybe nice patinated, but wrong second hand.
Looks like a Constellation minute hand?

I don´t believe that we have here a Constellation minute hand. F.i. a minute hand for cal. 505 or 551 has a 0.80 mm hand arbour (german "Zeigerfutter"), 354 has even 0.75 mm. Mine is 0.95.

I was not reading what I wrote - I meant the SECONDS hand, sorry! It looks like the right length for a pie pan dial.

...I just looked for the different hand types mounted on ref. 14390. Google says that there have been three types: "lance", "dauphine" (wider) and "dauphine" (slim). So I assume, on my watch are the slim dauphine hands.

No - my second hand has no tip - it´s broken...

It might be the original seconds hand was clipped by a watchmaker to clear an aftermarket crystal.

Yes, possible. I´ll change the crystal as well, because the watch needs a reinforced one.

Posting some pictures of the 30T2SCRg I have. I had done the servicing myself some 40 years back. Please advise
Lovingly restored to pristine (almost) originality

My one and only 30mm. Wish I could say I had more. I think however this one’s quality makes up for lack of quantity. Yes, it sees the sun 👍

All marks are reflections. Dial is sterile and 🥰🥰🥰

The Ω dial makers knew a thing or two about polarised reflections.

1951 cal. 265 ref. 2639 at dusk and in indoor light - I think we will be good friends. Is the hornback strap too rough for this watch?

This one is a shade over 33mm. An American Star case. Calibre 420, 17-jewel, S# seems to indicate 1952. A bit of brass showing on the gold filled case, but not bad for a 66 year old watch. Dial is original, and never interfered with. I inherited this from its first owner, about 20 years ago. Rarely wear it as it looks pokey on my large wrist.
