Here is one I just bought from a seller here.

Two separate watchmakers and I agree it's original. 30T2 PC movement. 11/16" lugs, it seems. Sure isn't 18mm!

Timekeeping is, alas, not its strong suit. My local watchmaker is servicing for $500 plus parts, because I care about timekeeping and that's what a reasonable charge is.

This is the picture on the Omega site:

Gold version but you can't tell from the pic, clearly.

I mostly wanted the pic for the strap. Started looking, and would you believe I found that strap in grey with a steel buckle on eBay? Original Omega? Better than the strap I had.

My watchmaker wanted to get it done before holiday season and he gets busy at the store... so happy to get it sooner rather than later.

The lume, which looks orignal? I can see it when it's completely dark and my eyes are adapted. That's a bonus. 馃榿

The crown, by the way, matches the picture but has an Omega symbol on it. The pic is from 1946, and the watch, by serial, might be 1950. That could account for it.

It also looks like a #11 end link might fit, too, so something to think of. I also have an inexpensive Bonklip type bracelet coming.

Very excited!

Tom

I'm pretty excited by my recent find, unless you guys say I've been taken for a rife. I was at a community yard sale in a retirement community in Virginia and asked a guy if he had any watches for sale - he did, an automatic Hugo Boss that he wanted $10 for. His neighbor, who was standing there said he had an old Omega that he got in eighth grade and asked it I'd be interested. Of course I was.

He returned form next door and handed me two Seamaster 30s - one was his dad's, the other his. Both running. I bought them and brought them home and was amazed when I saw the serial numbers from 1962 - four digits difference. I thought this was pretty amazing and thought I'd share.

Am I right in thinking that the hands for a cal 266 should fit a 265 & 267 as well?
Would they fit anything else in the 30mm range?

The 惟 dial makers knew a thing or two about polarised reflections.
Ref. 2503 cal. 265

Polarized reflection eh.

So that's what it is called when the light plays across those dial. Always enjoy the enchanting effect. Have a 351 bumper that exhibits that.

I have golden leaf hands but they are too short for that dial though 馃檨

This thread does more to make me discontent than any other thread on OmegaForums except for WRUW.
