Even a 2639 deserves a gator strap.

This is my first post on here, I have just obtained this little beauty, any ideas of age?
Not sure this is the right thread for your watch. It looks to be an early waterproof model from the early 1940’s. The movements in these are not the 30mm series, but instead the cal. 26,5 series.

If you post this as a new thread, you are more likely to get responses. BTW, I think it’s a very nice piece.

Hi Gatorcpa

Same case style ( 30 mm movement used a larger diameter 35 mm ) incomparison to the 26.5 movement version ...

Just a FYI !

Te calibre is a 30T2 so I assume it is a 30mm?

Great watch loves these !

Heavy dial patina, wrong service crown, scratched crystal. I was contemplating using it for parts but with an old no-name flatlink bracelet it came alive! And when missus says it looks the part, it is deemed a keeper.
She was talking about you, brother man!

My 135.007, with the Cal. 286. Still amazingly accurate (+2 seconds a day) after all these years.

These two early 50s pieces make an interesting pairing. Ref 2890 (left) and 2640 (right).

Two beauties!
Spectacular dial on the 2890, a work of art!
Thanks for sharing.

It's really fascinating how many different dial variants for the 2639 are existing. This is the first one I've seen that has a “Swiss Made” signature with a space between the two words.
