Ref. 2639 - 13

I had it bookmarked on eBay, but bailed out due to other temptations. You made a terrific deal!

Hello!
I own this Omega but really do not know anything about it or even find any other like mine.
Can anyone help me so i may know what do i have?
The serial number inside is: 10417497 and its a 30T2 Cal
In the inside of the backcover says:
METAL
PLAQUE G
20 MICRONS
2318/2

Kind regards,
Helder Ferreira

Maybe follow this Link:

2318 is the Reference number. All these are brothers and sisters of your Omega. Seems if your dial has been changed at sometime?

I've seen thousands of pictures on google but never seen one like this...
Don't think it has been changed cause the watch has been in family since it was bought, but who knows... How can i be sure? right?!

I´ve thought about that, because there is a typical early sixties "12" on your dial. Furthermore the small second is not machined and the "Ω" is applied (?) and not printed (as seen on the 2318 page). Here´s a 1962 Seamaster with the same "12" as yours:

This 1944, 18K Rose Gold, Cal. 280 Chronometer, Case Ref. 10618172, with the number 30T2SCRG under the balance, belongs to my watch maker, and wanted to share it on this thread. I am curious about the dial. It is in such nice condition. Does anybody have ideas on if the dial is original, a service dial, or a really good redial? This is a really stunning watch.

I also found an interesting article while researching the watch: http://squelettewatches.com/chronometres-30mm/

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news:

Dial is poorly (and wrongly) reprinted
crown is a later replacement
movement is in rough condition (plating loss)
wrong driving wheel over third wheel

And the case has been polished quite a bit.

Here's my cal 267 ref 2891-1. After some hesitation, I've come to think that the hands are original.

EDIT: Turned out not to be a ref. 2639, but a 2791. Still a cal. 266 though.
Just in, got a vacant original Omega croc strap. Service and new crystal and she is good.
