There’s quite a bit of design and engineering that goes into the instructions, if you enjoy making things it kinda taps into that
I can understand that.

I think it's like a book. Some people love books.

To me, if someone gives me a book at Christmas, they are giving me work.

I like the comedian who said regarding Christmas gifts, "Don't give me a book.. I already have one."

When the Saturn V came out, I started a new tradition where every Father's Day I build a big set with my girls. I am a big space nerd so naturally we have done the Space Shuttle, lunar lander, ISS, and a few others. During the quarantine, we built the Voltron set and this year added Optimus Prime. I came of age during the classic space era, so the new Galaxy Explorer was a must have and we built that over Christmas along with the Loop Rollercoaster. The Loop is really phenomenal, so big but really cool. I have the BTTF Deloran set already set aside for Father's Day this year. They have made so many cool sets over the past 10 years.

Have you gotten into the Space MOCs? Tons of ways to go with Space LEGO sets!

Along with whiskey and now watches, LEGO (specifically space LEGOs) are one of my three big hobbies.

Heck yeah. Now you just need to break into the MOCs. It's a wide open world for space MOCs with a ton of community support.

Ehhhh probably not lol. Go see the second post in this thread. The amount of LEGO at my house is hoarder level. My goal is to get a ton of it out of here.

It’s only taken the family a few months (!!) but now the world map is finished and I just need to find somewhere to hang it now.
The rule was that two people had to work on it at a time - so it was something for everyone otherwise my son would have sat and done it in about two days by himself.
Thoroughly recommend it as a family activity

Love building Technic sets. Also, enjoy watching Lego Masters on TV. The Australian version is the best imo..... My favorite build has definitely been the Ferrai Daytona. Love that model and the F1 Mclaren. The new Pagani one looks awesome too!

It’s Star Wars day. These kids better be ready to play when they get home.

Edit: Updated pic. Almost forgot my Mandolorian and Nabooian friends.

Yesssssss!!!!!!

Never got into the Star Wars Legos (even though I am a Star Wars fan), but the giant Millenium Falcon always intrigued me. The wallet never could agree, though.

All I can say is that the lego people are marketing geniouses. They Orudcye things that kids want, and parents cave because they seceretly want it too. I have ashelf of special legos that I keep out of reach because they will end up scatered, chewe by dogs, etc.
