Lego is the best. Built the Titanic last Christmas and the boutique hotel this summer. About to start the Dr Strange home and will buy the Jazzclub in January. I find it fun to build and then modify the buildings to my liking.

My 5 year old loves LEGO and my wife and MIL went off the deep end. They buy bulk used stuff from people for pennies on the dollar or sometimes free. We got that same Porsche for like $20. I also have that Millennium Falcon, X-Wings, the Benetar, and about 800 other sets. My house is covered in LEGO it’s like a war zone here. My basement is destroyed. My 3 year old tears sets apart and they get scattered everywhere. And yes we watch LEGO Masters. My MIL has even more at her house including a 4 foot long “Titanic” they build. Save me!

Got my oldest the new Artemis rocket and Mars lander sets for Christmas so tomorrow will be a build day.

I take it that you wear a pair of these around the house 24/7?

Not a huge LEGO addict but I do have some stuff. I’ve been fascinated with police stuff since I was a kid and I still have my original LEGO Police Units set from the mid 1970s…it’s on the left in the first pic below. Then I became a Cincinnati Police Officer in 2004 when I was furloughed from Delta Air Lines as a result of 9-11…and I became fascinated with law enforcement aviation…so a fellow Delta pilot buddy recently gave me the LEGO set on the right in the first pic below. The second pic is a DARON Delta livery aircraft set…I saw it in an Anchorage, AK airport gift shop about a year ago and had to get it…

Very Cool, @Mad Dog … and it did NOT escape us that you also picked up a cuppa iced Dunkin Donut coffee with the set!!! 👍
TWO addictions at once… so YOU definitely need some help!!! 😁

My early life Lego was a painful few years of finding small sharp parts embedded in the soles of my feet when in the proximity of my son's bedroom, or anywhere else in the house that he had been.

A "Lego Trap" on carpet doesn't hurt too much.
A "Lego Trap" on boards/tiles creates a lot of hopping and swearing and a limp for three days later.

My later life Lego has been limited to the Eiffel Tower and a Vespa my grandson got me for my birthday.

A word of caution.
Always carry newly assembled Lego with the same care as a new-born baby, or maybe be even more careful.

And if you think Lego is challenging, wait until one of your kids presents you with one of these for Christmas!

My wife gave me one of those wooden kits for Christmas a few years ago. Knowing my interest in mechanical watches...

Here I was thinking that we were the ones propping up Lego !!!
There must be half a dozen sets or more today for the kids, with a map of the world for tomorrow to start doing as a family activity.

I can’t offer a vast Lego collection, but last night, when everybody went to bed, I opened a bottle of red and finished this one in one go:

Had a great time just listening to some old music, fiddling with the Lego, the childhood memories… I’m afraid I might be hooked now.

Hehe, my dad and I ended up having a wild discussion for an hour or so about this before I started.

He would've gone for the Turbo as it's the more epic car and because he has a personal, emotional connection to it: When my mom was in labour with my sister and he needed a car quickly to drive her to the hospital, the only one available in the garage where he worked at the time was a customer's Turbo, this very model, also in white. He shit his pants driving it.
I get that, but to me, a Targa was the first Carrera I've ever driven, on a lovely spring day, and it was just pure magic. Also, it'll live in my apartment and when it's on a shelf somewhere, I want it to look good, and I find the aesthetics of the Targa "less challenging". 😁

5 new sets here for Christmas. Kids are in full build mode. The technic stuff is really fun. The only set I’ve bought for myself is the Ducati.

@Mad Dog Got a gift for you too. Come on by.
