No telling how many they had, as someone previously mentioned it could have been a trade-in. Will be interesting to see how many more pop up on their site as 'in stock'.

One of the problems of issuing 6969.

At least they are being snapped up, hopefully by people who genuinely missed out.

Just make sure you do due diligence before looking to make any purchase.

Googling Jomashop problems is a good starting point!

I may start with some Mont Blanc pens (Marilyn Monroe) and progress from there.

Has anyone from the actual forum gotten one from Joma. It seem that people here only know someone that got one. If they did, good for them. Now I think that JS only diid this a s publicity stunt. Every body is taking about them, going to their website checking things out and maybe even buying stuff. So now I see their business idea behind it. At first I was puzzled on why would they sell it cheaper and maybe make a really small profit on it. In reality they were looking ahead and make the difference on some other items. I work on the grocery business where stores might have a sale on some items, even loosing money, to bring people in hopping to sell items with higher profits. At the end JS might be making its money on pens, jewelry, hand bags or even shampoos, color kits and anti-aging products.

Yes, it might have been a good publicity event, it is now shown as 'out of stock', same as Silver Snoopy and other long gone LE's, so no promise of any more to come. The Apollo 8 is listed at $100 over list price with one week delivery time when it is readily available now from Omega's website with full 5 year Omega warranty. There was no need to sell a couple of Apollo 11's at 17% discount and leave money on the table except to generate more business. It was probably cheap advertising in the end. And a few happy buyers who junped in and bought.

I bet not too many people knew that you could go to JS and buy a luxury watch some shampoo, deodorant and depending on your age acne solutions or anti aging creams.

Not sure I'd ever buy an 8k Omega watch from Joma but picked up one of my first proper watches, a Hamilton, from them back in the day and no complaints at all about the product or service, though I never had cause to test the "JomaCare" or whatevs warranty.

Will Omega repair, at cost, any of their watches or will they refuse to fix those that they suspect come through GM channels?

The only time Omega will refuse to service a watch is if it's a fake. For paid service, they do not care where the watch was sold...

Agree with this. Have had several grey purchases serviced by them

I had a problem with a 200 dollars watch that I bought from JS. It wasn’t a really big deal until I had to talk with someone there. Their customer service is the worst. Once they have your money they don’t care if you are happy after the sale. I will never risk it with a 8k watch.

My first and thus far only dealing with js was purchase of a 3570 for something around 3.4k. All went well, the watch has been great. I had no need to test the one year warranty. I often wonder if it was good luck or good management. Anyhow...
have fun

Well, hope every buyer is aware about the import tax as well... if you are not in the US

The authorized dealer that sells them to Joma will destroy the card, or just not give it at all. It's Grey Market because officially the AD's aren't supposed to be offloading these to third party sellers, but in order to cut their losses, they may sell them to Grey dealers at around cost to not lose out on too many watches. If the watches you bought from Joma were stamped by the original AD that sold it to Joma, Omega would be able to trace back to them very quickly and get them in trouble.
So Omega doesn't keep track of serial numbers anymore???

The 17% discount more than offsets the 10% tax here on Australia.
Here's hoping JS come through

Though now it’s more then just the 10% gst to import goods here to Aus since the gov handed the collection and paperwork over too the couriers 🙁

You may be right, believe it may be a customs charged of 1 or 2%.
Could be wrong, but I'm not worried about paying slightly overs.
I had missed out on an allocation
