Yes I believe there were three sizes XL, L and S Long and short respectively.

That's a cool solution, Jim. I sourced, after great effort, 1mm o-rings, but look so obvious and out of place, granted I'm probably the only one who knows they are there though...

 

And still being worn in 1981...

Never thought of bearings......What advantage have you found over the others? Metal against metal seems what to avoid.

These black rings raise the nerd factor to infinity.... and I guess, substituting in the bearings, to infinity and beyond.
