If the Apollo 8 had a 42mm diameter, I would have told you to keep it. Unfortunately it is unwearable for most of us. So unless you have a huge wrist, keep the Japan Racing.

I have normal wrists and anything over 42mm start looking way too chunky on my wrist.

My "keep it" vote goes to that beautiful Japan Racing

This shouldn't be such a difficult decision if you put down your own main considerations for purchasing/holding a watch. OK, if you're a right-brainer that might be difficult so go with your emotion.

For me, wearability is important so things like size and colour are considerations. The 44.25 DSOTM 8 is too big for me. I think it has too much yellow but that can be easily toned down with a strap change which you've clearly already done.

Other considerations could be the watch's story, your story with your watch, etc. Here's a photo to help (or confuse)...

Depends what else you have. Personally, I like the Apollo (and I have one) but it is quite a big piece. If you have other steel watches, I鈥檇 be inclined to keep the ceramic for a change up.

Keep them both! They are both different enough to have in the same collection, and money isn't real.

I really don't think it is unwearable for most people, its size has never crossed my mind. But in the OP's situation I'd let the Apollo 8 go, it can be more easily replaced in the future.

I would keep Japan racing for the same reason.

And for significantly less money at that. Another vote for the Apollo 8 (if one must be sold)

Keep the Japan. More collectible potential in the long-term. Apollo 8 is a great looking and thoughtfully made watch, but it has a more polarizing design and will neither appreciate as fast or be as easy to sell later on.

My own pref is for the Apollo 8, but I've held off for the reasons above.

Sell the Apollo 8.

I have been kicking myself for selling my Japan 2 years ago. :whipped: It is a great Speedy with an awesome dial and in very limited supply. The Apollo 8 is IMHO a work of art but much more easily replaced if your have a change of heart.
But if you MUST sell the Racing, shoot me a PM. 馃榿

Love both watches, but the Japan Racing is special - if one has to go, Apollo 8 it would be

Keep the Japan racing, it is more collectible and will be much harder to replace in the future!
