·iWatch is to wristwatch as iPhone is to pocketwatch.
All can tell you the time, but the two Apple products can do so much more.
A friend was telling me all the plans that Apple has for the iWatch as a telemedicine instrument that can send real time health information to doctors. My reaction was, then why isn't Apple marketing it that way? If it's that valuable of a tool, get FDA to approve it. Then private health insurance and Medicare will have to pay for them.
This may be the next big thing, or it might be the next iPod Nano.
Time will tell.

And that is the number one reason why it may be useful to me. Wether it is seniors or people with any sort of health problem that can be tracked accurately this is a very useful tool, wether it needs the watch with it is another issue but I for one would have loved if my dad, when he was terminal, or any elder person weakened can have a gadget on that can track their health and even alert doctor or emergency services if a heart attack, stroke, sugar imbalance etc takes place. Not only that, then, like in cars, the ER can actually call them life and see what is going on. Same for police emergencies if it can trigger a house alarm and call 911. That is useful. for sure.
