It's possible the technician may have made a mistake based on your pictures, but it's not my guess...
or your serial lead them to this grey dial, it means you have a service dial.

You can try to contact them and see what they say about it.
The dial is not a service dial, I would tend to exclude it.

That is outrageous. Did you get it refunded? We have seen this issue of the year being wrong a few times on here.
Unfortunately not. I asked to the boutique but they can't do anything..

in your case the information has been read or transcribed incorrectly .. human errors occur, and they can also be corrected .. but not at the expense of the customer ..
Next time I buy a new watch I'll ask for 120CHF discount or the equivalent in gadget.

It is very unfortunate but many archive/registry systems operate this way. For example, in addition to watches, I collect coins - both the major registries require resubmission at the submitter's cost and have no appeals/query system. This can lead to inconsistent and, in some cases, obviously wrong results but there is no other option. So, in this instance, at least, the customer pays regardless.

The boutique are not trying very hard IMO. I suggest you contact the extract team directly and explain that you are out of pocket because of their mistake. They have in fact issued 2 contradictory extracts for the same watch, ask for an explanation for that if they dont immediately offer to help. It may be tricky to refund you since it will be the boutique who handled the payment (it would be easier here in Europe) but when this has happened before, the original extract is always corrected and re-issued free of additional charge. Don't give up and find a new boutique when it is sorted.

And the million dollar question is: how does one contact the team directly?
In my experience it is impossible..

I've managed it in the past. I would start with a mail to customer services in Bienne explaining the poor service, or make a call to the Swiss hq and ask for a relevant email address. for the EOA team There are those on here who have direct contact but I would understand why they wouldn't want to give that up.

I once had an issue with my extract, wrote a email to the customer service with the request to forward my questions and my issue was solved. Really good service from Omega I have to say.

Wrote a mail yesterday. Asking to redirect my question directly to their heritage team. Let us see if they answer..

I cannot offer any additional insight than others have already and would guess that the error is simply because someone has decided that the dial looks gray.

However, we have overlooked that this is a very nice looking watch though.
