I am not an expert in this reference either and do not want to call fake on any watch before a careful inspection, but Omega symbol and the font on the bracelet clasp
just do not look right to me. The case back is not clearly visible either to inspect the logo.

I would request more photos from the seller if I were you.

Morning chaps, wondering if anyone will be able to verify the attached images. Its a Schumacher legend 2507.51. Its not a reference i know a great deal about and in addition, the caseback is looking worse for wear. So, usual question, real or fake (buyer provided photos aren't great)

Hello, does this SM seems right? Bracelet is aftermarket and very bad, apart from that, I can't determine whether is fake or not.

Looks like a legit Apollo 11th 30th anniversary edition from around 1999.

There seems to be an edition number on the case back 2903? out of 9999.

Hard to tell from pics, but bracelet should have small intermediate polished links, this all looks the same finish, bar the end links, it might be a poor photo though.

Authentic, but a franken watch in horrible condition. Seamaster DE VILLE is not a screw back.

Sigh... so hard to find anything good on eBay... any advice on where to look for vintage omegas? I unfortunately will not be able to afford a recent model for a while...

This seems to be common! I inherited this in 89 from my late father and have never seen a model like it on any Omega sites. In terms of provenance, I think it may be some kind of jewellers own mix n match but am not sure. The place I get the battery changed always charge for an omega replacement and is beady eyes light up but I’d never part with it. Interested to know if anyone has any thoughts. Good or bad......

Hey All, I know this isn't an Omega but I figured maybe you guys could help still... I saw this hamilton online. There were two areas that sparked my suspicions... 1) The movement's weight has a different typeface of the H that is etched out than some others I see online, and 2) it has a serial number printed on the back of the case, whereas the other Hamilton Navy Pioneer's I see online don't have a serial number. I marked the two areas of concern with arrows below.
Please let me know your thoughts! Be well,
Matt

Hello everyone,

I am new here and hate that this is my first post, but could the experts please offer me some advice on this Speedmaster.

Watch advertised as ref. 311.30.42.30.01.005 dated late 2015, this matches the warranty card, and the serial on card and case also match. It was supplied with the outer box, and big presentation box containing all the extra accessories, warranty and pictogram card - the warranty card was stamped by a local branch of Goldsmiths so a proper AD in the UK.

So far so good, however on physical inspection the following concerns have arisen when comparing the pictures on the Omega website for this reference:

The caseback looks wrong - it is missing the "Professional Moonwatch" inscription.

The engraved hippocampus looks very soft, not sharp edged when compared to the Omega pictures.

The subdails appear to be correctly spaced however whilst they are recessed they look totally smooth - photos on Omega website close up show there should be a pattern of concentric circular rings to these dials.

The crystal also appears to have a gap in it internally, located above the "Swiss Made" text, I suspect this is not a genuine crystal and was fitted by someone other than Omega or an authorised service centre as I believe there should be a small engraved Omega symbol direct centre of the crystal, I cannot find it with a loupe or very close up picture. There are slip marks on the caseback which to me suggests somoene has opened it (badly) likely to replace the crystal.

The second hand is slightly missaligned, again leads me to believe someone has done work to this that was not best qualified.

My gut is telling me that this is either a frankenwatch at best, or worse a fake but would like some expert opinion.

Thanks!
