Is this watch real or fake thread - aka Fake Busters!!

Looks like a bad fake. For starters: the bezel looks like it has an aluminum insert (should be ceramic), the lume pip is hideous (very protuberant and extending beyond the triangle), wrong bracelet clasp, and HE valve is in the wrong position. And that’s just what can be seen with these poorly lit garbage photos.
Guy claims it was a gift he got a few months ago and he's letting go at a bargain price of 1500$!!! You save 5500$$ (cnd) lol
I also asked for the boxes and cards.... He unfortunately doesn't have them.

Hi all, I am looking for some help verifying a Speedmaster bezel. Is this Speedmaster bezel assembly and insert fake from looking at the numerals? I sold this on eBay and was under the impression it was a genuine piece as I purchased it from a previous seller who stated it was genuine. I have no reason to believe the original seller is not genuine as they have been trading watch parts on eBay since the late 90s with thousands of positive feedback. The new buyer has contacted me to advise their watchmaker says it is not genuine. If what they are saying is true then I will without a doubt refund them as I would not like to be responsible for passing off something as genuine when it simply is not. I purchased this within the last 6 months so I can still raise this with the original seller or PayPal so there is no loss as I actually payed more for it than what I sold it on for. Any help is truly appreciated. There is gunk on the bezel from
150 - 170 on one of the images so please disregard this as I cleaned it off prior to sale.

Wouldn’t matter if he did. They’d either be fake or purchased to make the fake seem plausible. That’s my favorite kind of fake - the easy to spot ones. Everything from the clasp to the bezel to the movement screams “Chinese manufactured garbage.”

Hello guys,

I fell in love with 60's Omega Seamestar De ville I saw at a store. I googled it, and found 2 for sale in my country, both go for about 600 dollars (that's a considerable ammount here). I'm a watch noob (I'm trying to learn) and I don't know if its a scam. Here are the pictures. One has busted hands and a different color crown (first 9 fotos) the other is lacking the swiss made. Should I buy one of them? I'm sorry for the photo spam. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

That's a lot of money for the watches pictured. What country are you in? They don't seem like very exciting choices.

I'm in Argentina. Are they really not worth it?

Definitely not worth it here in the USA. I have a better condition deville like those pictured and I would be happy with 1/3 of the price you are quoted for one of those you posted.

Would you be willing to sell it?

I have a bunch of el-cheapo package deals including that watch which I plan to list for my pals over on the military watch forum later this week and I will send you a PM when I do, and encourage you to join up there as well. I'll give you first shot at it 😀

The generous offer from @janice&fred sounds the way to go. Your time here has already paid off.
Do also keep an eye out for other finds in your country in the future. I have had several fine watches sourced in Argentina (Omega, Girard Perregaux, IWC) and know a couple of dealers who still travel there just to buy because of the wealth of local collectors who brought Swiss timepieces in.

He/she is more than welcome to have my watch and I will send a message by the end of the week once I post it on MWR. I agree about Argentina and hopefully as the interest continues and networks are made more interesting watches locally can be found. That place is loaded with them!

For sure the speedy "dark Side of the moon" doesn't even come close to an actual one. Don't know anything about Devilles but presume fake too.

Just checking. It shows as 21500vph so assume that’s pretty much proof its real as I don’t think any fakes fake that bit.

I figured as much. Could you show me an authentic one for comparison?

Google is your friend, subdials of this one aren't even the chronograph configuration.

21,500vph is incorrect but your watch is genuine.
Proper co-axial frequency is 25,200 but you need a proper timegrapher to measure it, I guess those cheaper devices are not really capable of measuring a proper co-axial frequency, hence it gave you 21,500.
That balance looks genuine and the watch is all good for me.
