Anyone know the seller?
I can vouch for @mr.swissmade ; Victor is a good dude.
the serial number shows 27773342. The cal 861 engraving is rough and without the Omega branding on the base plate. There is an engraving of 18 Jewels on the bridge. The blocking lever is nto metal but plastic. A check from an extract l ordered says it belongs to a cal 601 model ST131.019.
Look again at the image of the movement form this listing:-
I think it shows serial 27773542. the same rough Cal 861 engraving, and 18 jewels on the bridge instead of 17. The blocking lever appears to be made of plastic also ( I could be wrong ).
If I am wrong in my observations, I do apologise. If you do agree, could the seller be producing these Franken-fake movements?
Take note
Those 'Speedmasters' come up for sale from the same seller quite often, they're fakes that go to some lengths to deceive buyers. Sorry you ended up with one, but you've done us a service actually looking into where the parts come from / the inside. Can you photograph your watch thoroughly and maybe create a thread here?
Guys. this one was on sale in Ebay yesterday and someone won it for 1700 dollars. so piss off to see people selling fake stuff. It's supposed to be Apollo 15 but I has apollo 17 case back. It also has what it appeared to be a sapphire glass, but in reality this one should have Hesalite.
Am I WRONG that I thing it's fake?? Please check it out?
First off, I'm a complete newbie and I'd like to buy my first Omega.
I'd like to buy a quartz seamaster and need a little help. This has come up for sale and seems too good to be true.
It's got no box or papers but the seller assures me he had it verified at a local watch expert when he purchased it.
Legit or Not? The hands seem a little off? Thanks heaps!
Can somebody point me in the right direction here? I seriously do not know my stuff.
Are the hands too long? I know most of you guys and girls are purists and don't like quartz movements, but I'm a whack it on your wrist and forget about it sort of guy. It will be a weekend warrior watch, just for special occasions and pass it on to my son one day. I'm not rolling in money.
The thought of forking out for, and rocking a fake doesn't sit well.
Are there any questions I should be asking the seller? It does have a serial no. etched into the lug.
Hello, surely a fake? If so, the guy sure did have a lot of fun creating it, decorating it like a Christmas tree.
I can't seem to find a description/photo of a geniune Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Co-axial Escapement 150m/500ft that has a transparent/exhibition back, round screw notches in the case, PLUS, a month/year, moonphase, date dial (1-31) and another dial which I assume is day of the week(1-7)! It's damaged on the front, missing the hour/minute dials, plus the omega logo and the Seamaster logo on the dial.
The Omega logo in the back seems to have been unglued/unstuck, but looks metallic. It's not engraved. All other words on the back case seems to be laser-engraved, font looks like the Omega original used.
The top push-in button on the right top hand side works fine and changes the month (it was originally January 2008), the top down push-in button changes the day, the left upper push-in bottom changes the year, the left down push-in bottom changes the day-of-the-week (1-7) dial.
The clock ticks and seems to work just fine, since I can look through the transparent back.
So, does it worth the trip to go downtown and have a clock repair guy open it and peek inside? Bought on a flea market, paid peanuts. Worth peanuts?
