Here are pics of two of mine. Different watches, but there seems to be quite a bit of variation.

    Hi Guys,

Can anyone help me confirm if this 1964 Omega Seamaster is genuine. To me the Cal.269 and Case serial look genuine. The silvered Dial also looks genuine to me and the fakers back then i don't think would have attempted the silvered Dials. There is a slight miss centring of the Seamaster wording. I guess in the 1960's there were slight imperfections on these Seamasters?

As i'm new to this open to views.

    Thanks,

    Tom

It's a genuine Omega that has been "restored".

The "T SWISS MADE T" on the dial indicates tritium lume being used on the indices and hands, but there is none.

The "T SWISS MADE T" on the dial also often indicates a re-dial.

The dial is also missing the 30 symbol as this is a Seamaster 30.

It's still a nice watch to wear though.

Thanks much appreciated. Does this affect the value of the watch? I am new to collecting and really trying not to get stung on price. I paid £475 for this which I thought was a good deal. Still I love the watch so not really fussed if I did over pay

Hey all! I sold my 1503/825 bracelet that came with my Seamaster 2531.80 a while back and regret doing so. I am about to purchase this one, but was curious if there were any details that look out of place. Thanks!

The picture below is the clasp of the one I sold, and I know it is legitimate because Omega serviced it. One thing I notice between this and the last is the positioning of the "/" between 1504 and 825. They are definitely different, but I don't know if Omega may have changed things up.

    Real band:

IMHO the stamping of the A's and the 5's are not good enough and dissimilar. maybe?

What about the pointed A's in seamaster on the caseback, or are they ok some/most times?
    Thanks
I'm referring to that cosmic about ten post back.

Any red flags on this Spectre 300 8400 movement? (I am very very close to pull the trigger on this watch)

The fake is really really well made. Always look for completely full sets, not only the cards, but the paper of the limited edition and other goodies.

Consider fake is sold with steel bracelet and nato strap. Fake Cards can be bought.

check the picture, where you can find a real seamaster 300 (not spectre) and a fake spectre

when I bought that fake spectre (by the end of 2018), I found almost 10 fakes on CHRONO24 (that fake watch was lunched at the summer of 2018). Fortunately I get my money back after 2 months

when you see them both, it’s easy. But not if you see only the fake watch

Thanks for the heads up by the way.

Since you said you were meeting f2f, here’s what I would do: take your phone and take a slow motion video of the seconds hand moving, and count how many ticks pass each second. I believe It should be 7 for this movement, where on most fakes it will be 8. It’s not foolproof, but perhaps it can add some extra security.

That Spectre is so close that even as a 300mc owner, I wouldn’t be able to tell.

I have to say that first I am a watch collector (watch freak really), but second and most important for the explanation, I am the owner of a pre-owned watch company (the name is not relevant now, I can tell by private if anyone needs it) that sells over 300-400 watches every year.

We bought the Spectre fake using an on line platform (at last, fortunately because that helped us to recover the money). We received that watch, with extremely long bracelet (much more links than expected ... it should fit a 24-25 cm of wrist) and NATO strap, no box, no papers. We inspected it (time keeping of the caliber, loupe for cosmetic inspection, comunication with police about serial number... everything as usual), and make the pictures to offer it.

Because we also work with AD to help them to love stock, we received a Seamaster 300 to promote, and think it could be fine to compare watches. We did the pictures, and after that, we notice “something wrong” (you know that feeling when you really know a watch, and something is slightly wrong but you don’t know what it is exactly).

the fake is really really well made. Diferences are really hard to see even with real and fake watches in the same hand. So take all the cautions you can have: take picture of ID of the seller, make a contract, pay with electronic method (not cash), check the watch, look for the full set, etc

Three months ago we were offered the best fake Seamaster Diver (new one, blue dial, with waves), and we saw it at first sight. Same with Hulk for example. No way, the look is different.

I remember in this cases: buy the seller, not the watch
