I have a watch that was given to me years ago - would anyone be able to tell me anything about it? I've tried to search around a little and it looks similar to some Omegas I've seen from the 50s. I don't have any idea how to get it open to check the inside.
I watch a few videos on removing the back, but I don't see where exactly to do it and I can't find anything like the tool they use to open them (a butter knife seems like a bad idea?)
Almost all the images I find online have additional writing on the face, mine just says 'Omega'. Also, the dial/winder/knob thing on the side is really tiny compared to what I see online.
There is a watch repair place near me, but everything is locked down. I was hoping someone might be able to point me in a direction. I've heard there are a lot of fake watches and wonder if this could be a fake? I'd really like to find out what year it was made.
Ed Black, I would be really interested to know how much it was offered at, as I have the same watch (if im right, 2201.5000???)

Just recently inherited this watch from my grandfather who passed away. He had worn this watch for years and always assumed it was real. I'm planning on cleaning it up and getting it serviced regardless (sentimental value) but was wondering if anyone with better knowledge of this type of constellation could tell me what they think.
Fake watch. Fake pictogram card. Fake paperwork. Fake box. Fake bag. In a way, it's a full set.
Hi, the pics are a bit blurry but as far as I can see there is nothing wrong with it. Maybe you can ask the jeweller for some high res pics so we can take a better look. The price is decent too imo.
