What website are you putting serial numbers into? I cant seem to find one...
Hey there, I entered into the Omega website to on the Master Chronometer page to view its performance during the METAS tests.

They do that on purpose so that they can use the same picture for watches with either the 9300 or 9900 movement. It's like taking a picture of the box and papers without the watch in the picture so they can include it in every listing variant. Basically, they're lazy as all hell.

Jomashop sucks, support doesn't exist, and you have zero factory warranty. Look for a seller on these forums that can sell you it new for a similar or possibly even lower price. If you have a problem that would've been warranty issue, it'll instead be almost $1000 a pop.

Hi, can you explain why one would not have warranty when buying an Omega through Jomashop? I thought you would, always have the Omega factory warranty? Thanks!

You need to present a stamped & dated International Warranty card to claim warranty work. Jomashop throws it out and you only get the Pictogram and Master Chronometer card when applicable... they are biggest reason for giving the Gray Market a bad name (and those who mark-up steel Rolexes).

I'm curious as to why you have chosen to call out Jomashop for being the "biggest reason for giving the Gray Market a bad name"?

The gray market exists in part because people don't want to pay retail. If you go outside authorized sales channels why should you expect to get a factory warranty? If you want a factory warranty buy from an authorized Omega retailer.

Because there are plenty of other gray market sellers that include the warranty card. Their watches come from Omega authorized retailers too, only out the back door. Omega themselves do not lose money from a middleman selling at a discount to another middleman as the cost of warranty is already factored in. They just simply throw away the warranty card because the Authorized Dealers want to remain anonymous.

I get it when you spot a red flag on a fake. You can call it what it is. My paranoia is when there are no red flags on a modern Omega. I ask myself, could this be a super clone? Even the movements have been brought up to levels that make it look real. Does anyone else worry that some fakes have now reached a level to make us uncertain what we are really holding?

No. And if it bothers you that much, don't take the risk and buy it only from an Authorized Dealer/Boutique.

Bought a secondhand 2201.50 (no box and paper) for US$1,750 on Taobao (China’s version of Amazon and eBay combined).

Seller has good reviews and Taobao holds the money in escrow until buyer (me) confirm that the item is as advertised.

Can the experts here help me verify if this watch is authentic? I include a photo of the serial number for good measure 😀

Thanks all for your help! I look forward to participating more in this awesome forum.

Sorry but, bad fake...
Which one are you referring to?

Both Tony’s and Charcoalx’s look fine to me. Maybe I’m missing something?

The SM300 is original for me. The SM600 also, but not very nice engraved on the buckle. Confused the watch with the new model. There the numbers on the dial are different. Sorry for the uncertainty.

When if it ever comes that close (if)......... weight variation of the fake VS real may be a telling factor.

Is there anyone able to check a specific Omega Serial # to ascertain if one I bought second hand is legitimate? It LOOKS real, but would love to confirm via serial number if possible.

Hello all,

I just picked up the pictured Seamaster 2225.80 and wanted to run it through the "real or fake" machine. Keeping with advice on this forum, I "bought the seller" just as much as the watch and am hoping the reviews and open communication translate to an authentic piece. Appreciate your insights.
