And it is supposed to be “vintage” with no indication to the year. Needless to say I have nothing on the inside.

This is not a "well, it kinda looks strange" type of accusation. It is 100% a fake. An "AAA clone" as the dorks in China call it.

Serial number is a known fake 88998668
LiquidMetal is not flush with rest of ceramic
Font of warranty card ref is wrong
Box is wrong (entire beige section is sunken and does not open up on a hinge, but lifts up entirely like a Rolex box)
Escapement is not pictured, but I guarantee you will see a second gold balance under the first one

Seller has a history of selling fakes according to feedback..... please continue reporting it before the auction has a chance of ending!

EDIT: It's been taken down... well done, folks!

    Hi all,

I'm looking to verify an Omega Aqua Terra 38mm with the 8800 movement.

    The details are as follows:
Model: Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 220.10.38.20.03.001
Serial number (from the movement): 89590610

I entered the serial into the Omega website and the correct model corresponds with the serial number. If anyone that is more familiar with the 8800 movement or the AT line that could chime in, that'd be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Attached are pictures of the AT.

    Hi All,
Sorry in advance if this is a stupid question, I just couldn't find anything by searching for "movement caliber missing"

I'm thinking of buying a speedmaster with the 9900 caliber from a gray market seller, jomashop to be specific, and I noticed some of the watches have the 9900 caliber marking on the movement, and others don't. When I go to the omega site, all the 9900 caliber watches have the caliber marked on the back of the movement. I've seen here that Jomashop is considered to be "okay" and not selling fakes, but this is really concerning to me. Even if only some of there watches are fake I wouldn't want to buy from them...
here's an image of a watch without the 9900 marking:

    and with the caliber marking

could someone explain why one has the caliber marking and the other doesn't?

They do that on purpose so that they can use the same picture for watches with either the 9300 or 9900 movement. It's like taking a picture of the box and papers without the watch in the picture so they can include it in every listing variant. Basically, they're lazy as all hell.

Jomashop sucks, support doesn't exist, and you have zero factory warranty. Look for a seller on these forums that can sell you it new for a similar or possibly even lower price. If you have a problem that would've been warranty issue, it'll instead be almost $1000 a pop.

Thanks @Meme-Dweller I am not in a huge rush to buy so I will look here first. I'd rather support the community anyway. Thanks again for the quick response, it makes sense now that you explain it.
