    Another completely useless post.

If you're going to call out a fake, post a picture and not just a link

Pictures stay here forever and help others.

Links die pretty fast when people report crap fakes.

Are you asking a question or stating a fact?

If it's the latter, you should post it here and report it.

No probs, you need to include a link so others can report it.
More reports the quicker it's whacked.

    Hey Guys,
I am looking at purchasing a Seamaster Planet Ocean Titanium from a private seller and thus am slightly worried about the authenticity of the watch. I am aware that there is a rather large fake market out there from stuff that wouldn't pass for selling at walmart to items that are incredibly well built and almost identical to the real thing which is why I am coming to you all! He has sent me pictures and I have looked at them but would love a second opinion from those who know much more than myself! Also should I take it to a jeweler and have them take a look at it, would love some thoughts on that? Hopefully this thing is real and I make her mine in the next few days! Thanks in advance guys!!

Congrats on making the decision to buy. The pictures are not the clearest to give you a definitive answer. However it would appear to have a full set, with cards, and the original receipt. I would check to confirm the serial number on the watch matches the cards. I would also still take it in to an Omega watchmaker to cover all of your bases. Not sure where you are, but I know a good Omega Co-axial Certified watchmaker in Orange County, CA

Hey guys. I ran across this forum while looking for info on how to spot a fake and thought I'd share what I have found to get you opinion. The seller seem to know very little about the watch and little about watches in general. The watch was not advertised as real. He found it in a storage locker he bought among some other decent watches. He said he wasn't sure if it was real so he didn't advertise it as such. Just said it was a really nice watch. After looking at hundreds of pictures online comparing to know authentic ones I really couldn't find a flaw. I was contemplating purchasing it as a replica and wear it as a beater at the beach. I asked if it was in a box or if anything else came with it and he said it was in a small clear plastic case with a card. He sent pics of how he found it. It looks to me like a genuine packaging the dealer receives the watches in from the factory. Do any of the replica places go to this much trouble to look authentic? It would seem like a waste since most people have never seen this type of packaging. Sorry for such a long post. Have a look at the photos and see what you think Screenshot_20190312-192310.png Screenshot_20190312-192249.png Screenshot_20190312-192036.png Screenshot_20190312-192012.png Screenshot_20190312-191940.png Screenshot_20190312-192310.png

Surprisingly. Appears correct. But the story is not jiving. I would check it against possible stolen merchandise.

I agree the story seems a little off. But after a dozen or so emails back and fourth with the seller I didn't get the impression they were trying to hide anything. Quite the opposite really. They were very open and answered any questions I had. I just got the impression that it was just another piece of merchandise to them. They didn't imply that it was genuine and I payed accordingly. I have no plans to sell it so I'm happy either way. But I will say it is kind of exciting to think that if it is indeed genuine I got the absolute deal of the century on a beautiful watch lol

I will add that I bought it off ebay and there were multiple pictures with the serial numbers in plain sight. So unless the seller is a complete goon I'm not too worried about it being stolen lol.

Do you mind sharing what you paid for this?

If it is genuine. Then you scored one hell of a deal. I would still take it in to be checked. If it’s not real. Then you paid a lot for it.
