Most welcome, when you have a picture of the mouvement Google it, 99% of the time it would be obvious it's a fake!

I mean, it has obviously been absolutely trashed which suggests it ain’t real. But there’s always something in the back of my mind that says, “What if?”

    Thoughts?

Hi everybody, first time poster here...

Iv got an omega seamaster 2541model, but it doesn’t have a serial number on the lug. It does have a star logo (made up of 5 lines) on one of the lugs though. Does this indicate it’s fake?

    Kind regards

    Hi guys,

also my first time here. I bought this watch from a presumably retired watchmaker on a flea market for EUR 250,00. From what I saw it looks like a Ref 14765 SC-61, I did not get the chance to take a look at the movement yet. What throws me off are the hour markers and the missing "Swiss made", although seeing the latter could be obstructed by the plexiglass (which looks like it was redone).

    Does this look authentic?

    Many thanks in advance

Hi guys, spotted this on Catawiki and EBay too (300 positive feedbacks). From Lithuania, listed on Chrono24 as well, but no feedbacks yet (listing around 100 watches). 3600$ for a Speedy 1995/96 - but can go down to 3'200$. I'm in doubt, but dial and movement seem legit. No papers, no box, doesn't know when last service. What do you think? https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Mens-Omega-...sh=item33ea53c786:g:7Z0AAOSw28pa4fR0#viTabs_0Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network

    Hi guys,

Please can you advise me if my Omega Seamaster 2541 quartz is real....

I’m worried about the following things on it...

    - no serial number on the lug, it only has a star on it made up of 5 lines ( Iv read on line this could be a quality control marker)

    - the date is gold not white
    - the helium valve dosent have the logo on.

    Please find attached some pics

    Many thanks in advanced :)

Quite obviously a fake. The tag supplied lists the Chinese Factory that made it, i.e. JH Factory. That and OM Factory are the biggest producers of Omega fakes in China

    Really?

I suspect the marks in the case indicate that it was made by Lang Louis SA, Route de Fontenais 66, 2900 Porrentruy.

That's actually in Switzerland, not China.

The watch has a correct Omega quartz caliber for that model. Serial numbers on lugs may not have been done at that time (1993) and the He vv may have been replaced at some time (I don't know if they were stamped).

The little star has been mentioned as a QA or acceptance mark made by Omega. I've seen it on genuine Omegas but never on fakes.

I know bugger all about Seamaster Professional 300s, but this one looks OK to me and nicely aged.

Hopefully some of the dive watch gurus can give you some better advice.
