I like to look at Craigslist at work find things all over it like a Rolex for 250 bucks saw a Tag Heuer today that looks like it was built with a hammer
Today there is a Royal Oak with box and papers https://houston.craigslist.org/jwl/d/audemars-piguet-royal-oak/6475540754.html there are a lot of watches but if its real who the hell sells a Roal Oak offshore chronograph on Craigslist? my guess Craigslist killer

Seems I may have posted this in it's own thread before seeing this sticky, oops!

Self-admitted "newb" here.

I've had my eye on an Orange Bezel 45.5mm PO for quite some time and today, I finally had to the chance to grab one off eBay. Time was running out and I didn't have a chance to give it a proper vet, but, based on photo and seller feedback, I took my chances and won. Now, giving it a proper look-over, I am having my doubts (I haven't paid yet - want to be 100% sure before I do).

I suppose my question is - did the 2200.51 EVER come with a Orange Bezel? Or does the 2500 45.5mm Orange Bezel PO have it's own reference number? As you can see in the posting, the reference number mention 2200.51.00 - and after hours of searching, I couldn't find any PO's ANYWHERE that had an orange bezel and had that reference number - unless they specifically mentioned that they had been swapped. I wrote the seller and he states it's the "original bezel" but based on my research, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Can you all take a look - let me know what you think - it would be much appreciated. Should things check out positively, it'll be my first PO 馃榾
Thanks,

Bryan

Some possible red flags :
1
The date seems not be alligned in the centre( too high, vertical off center)
2
On the outer edge of the bezel, you have the ( I do not know the correct English words for this) edge with highs and lows, to give your fingers grip when turning the bezel.
The highs should be alligned perfectly with the minutemarkers visible on the bezel. And they are not.
3
The pearl in the bezel looks not correct, but the picture is not clear enough to be sure of this.
4
As fare as I know, the wooden box has never accompanied a 2500PO, only the latest 8500 PO,s.
An original set should included the smaller red box.

Hope this helps you.
Best.

Hi everyone.

I am about to purchase this Seamaster 300 master co-axial. Just wanted to make sure its authentic. A link to the listing:
https://www.chrono24.ca/omega/seamaster-300--id7678277.htm

Thanks

It's suspicious that there are no pictures of the back. One of the primary ways of determining if these are legit is the presence of a silicone balance wheel. The fakes are still gold tone but otherwise the movement looks pretty similar.

Thanks for the feedback. I have actually requested a picture of the case back before committing. I will post a pic once he send me one

He sent a pic of the hang tag. Still awaiting case back. I'm starting to think I should stay away

Just FYI regarding the black balance wheel. Ive seen fake aqua terras and planet oceans running Miyotas with black balance wheels so might not be a good indicator for a fake 300? Last fake 300 I saw were all with brushed crowns. Not sure if they have changed since then.

HI everyone, New to the forum. I am a collector but have yet to own an Omega. I am looking to purchase one soon an came across this one at a local auction. Don't know much about them myself so I was hoping you all can help. This one is listed as "100% Authentic" but looks suspicious to me. Any help would be great.

Fake. Other than the fit and finish that is lacking. The best way is to search google for the movement caliber. In this case, google Omega 8400 Coaxial. Compare the movements side by side (from a trusted source, of course). Quick glance you can see there is a screw that holds the counter weight in place on your fake. Not present on the Omega. Also check the serial number on the movement that does not match that on the underside of the lug.

I鈥檓 no expert and happy to be shot down but the engraving on the back has Planet Ocean and Good Planet foundation.

It鈥檚 either the wrong case back, wrong photo or just wrong altogether!

Do you have better photos? Maybe a close up of the dial and back? These guys are good but not miracle workers (well, most anyway).
