Thanks for your reply. Do you think 667USD is fair enough? Thanks again. Lizzie

You should be able to do better than that, not more than $500, but probably less.

What do you guys think of this speedmaster. To me, it looks mostly good, but I think the price is a bit suspicious... it looks like it’s all there, but the minute hand length is throwing me off a bit in the first picture.

I can't seem to find this particular model anywhere. Any feedback ? Most seem to have a serial number on the case back or quartz written on it.

Good luck master of speed it's understandable that the alignment would be frustrating.

Buyer beware. From guy on my Facebook group.

Fake Omega 9300 Speedy. It even has the globe and serial number on the lugs.

Totally fake. That is a Valjoux 7750 inside. It should be an Omega 9300 movement which is totally an in house Omega movement.

What’s scary is the back and front crystals are still sapphire and the case/bracelet are nearly dead on for the real thing.

So what tipped the guys off? Using a loupe, the buyers friend notices the burrs.

"It was the burrs on the movement that made me curious. Then I noticed that this watch didn’t have the single hour advancing hand with the crown in the first position like the normal 9300.

I asked the guy if my watchmaker could check it out and he agreed.

That’s when my watchmaker noticed the screws that shouldn’t be there."

A guy bought it on EBay from a seller in the UK 5440000591be67b6297f5bb313f1a16f.jpg 45c105bcc4c2e8ff06a7b25d6838406b.jpg 2b1acfe2603ad9a252394fee3ba75c95.jpg af4cb52c4cc4f72ef1a85d7c70ebfe5d.jpg d0c34d311a3cef22d84d66061741d6b2.jpg

The balance wheel is in the wrong location, and that should have been visible via the display caseback. No disassembly required. 😀

And the dial + subdial hands are completely wrong. The date seem to be sunken too deep below the dial as well.

Not sure what you mean. The main alpha hands appear to be correct, although there isn't enough detail in the picture to be sure (hour hand is hidden by the minute hand). The dial seems to be fairly close, although the steps around the date window seem to be too small.

The bezel is too wide, and the crystal appears to be plastic, although that could just be the lighting.

Not sure what you mean.

The lume strip on the minute counter is wrong, for one thing. And the dial is different from the original in a lot of ways, which although not significant by themselves, add up to giving an impression of wrongness. Is that clear now?

Box papers they would have gone a long way to fake it

Do you think this is genuine? Would you think it’s worth £3300?
