See if you can take better (closer) pics of the movement with the rotor in different positions and not obscuring the balace area.

So far it look OK (based on those pics).

Hello everyone, I'm asking for some HELP. I bought a watch about 2 months ago on Chrono. It came with the box but no papers. I do have an ebay authenticity card, the master chronometer certificate, pictograms, a little satchel, and the manual. I honestly didn’t think Omegas were faked! thought that was more of a Rolex thing. I didn’t look too deeply into the buyer. I paid around $4,000 plus tax, and now I am losing my sanity.

From the videos I've watched, I still can’t tell if it’s legit. I did my own video and counted seven ticks per second. I also tried every fridge magnet I have on the back, and it still ticks normally. I checked the serial number on Omega’s website, along with the access code for the METAS certification, and it all shows up. For some reason I had to click twice but it works.

PLEASE, can someone do a LEGIT CHECK? Not sure if I can post videos, but I’ll try. THANK YOU in advance for any help!

Lighting inside my room is terrible, I may need to take more pictures during the day.

Download watch accuracy meter app. You said you counted seven ticks per second? That should be right for an 8800. Use the app to time it, if the BPH is 25,200 it's legit, there is currently no known fake movement that uses this beat rate and there is zero incentive for fakers to do so.

I agree, that the pictures look good, from what I can see as well.

Serial number: 83330812
Article ref: 21030422001001
Version of movement: 8800A

Serial number matches the reference, it's good.

Thank you. I have seen your GIF on other posts, I am glad I got the REAL. I can sleep now knowing I didn't get bamboozled for 4,000$. Next time, I will do my due diligence BEFORE a purchase. Thank you to everyone who took the time to review these, I am extremely grateful.

In my experience you can trust the ebay authenticator if you purchase it and it goes there on it's way to you. The company they use is well known. And 4k for that is a pretty good price imo if it's new. Chrono24 holds their sellers to a pretty high standard too.

Well, you protected Yourself by paying the right price and by buying through a service that provides some form of authenticity validation. The OVERWHELMING majority of fakes that we see here are 1) bought for CHEAP; and 2) from some disreputable seller that shared three grainy pictures.

Good evening all,
The watch below has come up on a local estate auction site here in Ireland, described as a “ Patek Phillipe gentleman’s annual calendar wristwatch”, with a guide price of €50000 to €80000. Now, I’m not a Patek expert but this thing looks a bit dodgy to me and I can’t find anything like it online. As I said, I’m no expert, but could this be a genuine Patek, is my fake radar that far off?
The same site is selling a “replica” I.e. fake Vacheron Constantin with a guide of €300 - €500 which makes me suspicious, although they are a reputable auction house, but not a watch specialist.
Cheers

Thought as much, thanks, I think I’ll drop them a message and ask for some provenance, mess with them for a while.

Why does the power reserve indicator only go up to 8 hours and not 50?

Dear Sirs,
Can you tell me if this watch is real or fake?
Thank you

There may be a Cartier expert here that knows, but for my education could you please share the reference or model number of this Cartier so I can do some research? I have some questions fairly immediately, but I don't know enough about this watch to know if my concerns are founded.

Edit to add: how much is this being offered for? That will give us a lot of information right there

It's a Cartier Pasha GMT, I saw on on Fratello last year.

In that case, other than the fact that there is something about the case, dial, bezel, and bracelet that don't look like they were executed by a high-end Swiss watch manufacturer (but I suppose that could just be picture quality), my questions would be, where is the 12:00 circular marker, where is the seconds track, and why does the power Reserve indicator only run up to 8? In fact, why is it counting up at all as opposed to down?

Seems like there are multiple references of this, I see 2377 and 2388, the dial matches neither of those so is this a another reference entirely?
