Thought I’d ask the experts here on this PO Chrono. Comes with papers but no box and the seller has a good reputation on Chrono24. Aside from authenticity does it look like the watch has been polished aggressively? Any thoughts?
Something seems off. The screw heads in the movement seem to have corrosion on them(?) and the endlinks seem to be missing the engraved numbers.

If you want definitive answers, show the movements balance wheel. It is hidden by the rotor.

Thank you - I will request more pics. Also, I’ve seen some endlinks with the engraved numbers and some without on this model - not sure why.

I'm not "fluent" in this reference, so that was just a small detail I noticed. It could very well be a legitimate watch. There are details that look accurate, but small things that make me question it, like the corrosion on the screws.

How are we looking? Bought from a decent dealer w.o papers because it looked good to me

Excellent photos.
I'm not really familiar with modern Seamasters but nothing looks off to me.

Our diver watch judges should be along shortly.

Anyone got expertise on the speedymoon ST 345.0809?

This one's up for auction and then more I look at it, the less I think I like it...

Subdials have no grooves (and also no "T" by swiss made at the bottom):

Triangle hallmark inside the caseback looks sloppy?

"Omega swiss" on the movement looks off, compared to the example in Moonwatch Only.

What's everyone else think?

Hesalite 3861 marked at $6364? That better be negotiable.

While the hands appear to be tritium, the dial doesn't appear to be, or has patina'd in a way that looks just like aged luminova to me. Is it possible this is a replacement dial? There's definitely a richness missing from the dial that gives me some pause, at the very least it's not a spectacular example of this watch. On the subdials I can see some hint of the grooves, but not as clear as some examples on chrono24.

Given the givens... I'd likely pass on this one.

Agreed.
@artek the screws alone are definitely enough for me to simply say "pass" and look for another one that doesn't have that issue.

Was bought in LA airport, maybe that’s why is that strange price on the tag. Price is more than 1000$ less.

Thanks! Yes I agree that at the very least it's a service dial. I wasn't sure if the service dial might not have the subdial grooves for some reason, but it does seem out of character to have such a big difference in a service dial.

In any event ... It's on eBay with 2 days left with... With current bid of $4K for what should be a ~$15K watch if it was all original. So, with all the above... I think I'm not interested in a bidding war.

At the top end of the range for these 3861 hesalites (used). From a gray dealer, about what I'd expect. For reference, there's currently one for sale on the forum here for $4500 (I don't personally know the seller and am not endorsing them in any way) that comes with extra straps.

Do you know if the one you've pictured is the updated bracelet with slide adjust? May make some amount of difference in your decision.

This is definitely one of those references where, from what I have seen, some dials have an incredible "richness" to them that is sometimes seen in older 60s/70s references. In this case that service dial absolutely craters any interest I'd have in the watch- I'd be buying it specifically for that neo-vintage aged tritium and rich dial...

Indeed. This would be a birth year watch for me and the highlight of my collection. So, it's something I should be careful about and not bid on a suspiciously cheap example that may or may not be genuine. 😒

Yes, I saw it but I am from Europe so the price will increase to more than 5k usd with taxes etc 😀. I just need to be sure if it’s authentic, and wondering if something is strange with this one 😀..

It’s legitimate. Just over priced. Even at the $1000 discount you mentioned.
