Hi guys,
I came across a Speedmaster 60th anniversary listing a few days ago.
https://www.leboncoin.fr/montres_bijoux/2212332676.htm
LeBonCoin is not the place to buy watches. Lot of fake ads here from scammers who don't even own the watch.
Try to GoogleImage search the pic to see if it has not been 'stolen' from anoterh ad or another forum.
Ask the man to send a picture of the watch let's say : set at 01:15 with the chrono hand at 20 seconds, and a coffee cup behind the watcht, and you'll ahve the beginning of the answer (or no answer from him)
Agree 100%.
I've seen a few vintage watches there and every time I asked for specific photos the sellers just stop replying. That's a quick way of spotting most of the scams.
For this one i'll try and get more photos quickly, but the idea would ultimately be to travel to go see the watch, but only if it looks legit in photos (saves me a very long trip).
Question here is more: are Speedmaster professionnal replicas easy to spot (it seems to be easier on these, than with the reduced Speedmasters). And especially this one being a limited edition.
Cheers for your replies btw.
G gd6933Hi everyone.
I'm about to buy my first omega, and It's going to be a second hand..
Seller just sent me these few photos.
Serial number is the same on papers, case and movement, and watch looks great to me.
But your help will be welcome.
So what do you think about it? Looks like OK for you?
thank you very much.
GD
What is it that makes you suspicious that it might be fake?
G gd6933it would be my first omega, and I have no experience with this brand.
The price is a little lower than all other similar references with an old caliber 9300, while this is a 9900.
the writings on the movement and the caseback look lighter and finer than in other photos I have found, but this may be due to the brightness of the image?
Seller is very far from me, and he is the second owner.
So I prefer to be suspicious.
Photos are good, and so I was thinking maybe someone could detect something I can’t see by myself.
Thanks.
E EagleTenI purchased it on eBay because the listing talked about Authenticated, so I thought I was safe, but I’m not too sure about the whole Authenticated thing now...
E EagleTenWell, after naively jumping onto the Omega train, without as much homework as I should have done, as this is my first foray into the luxury watch market, I purchased this watch, and would really appreciate if someone could give me their opinion please on if it is a real Omega or (heaven forbid) a fake…

I purchased it on eBay because the listing talked about Authenticated, so I thought I was safe, but I’m not too sure about the whole Authenticated thing now…the pictures probably aren’t the best, but if any further, more detailed pictures are needed then I can post some later today.
It does come with a warranty card and a pictograms card (not sure if it’s a good idea to post pictures of these), but obviously these can be faked too…The serial number on the warranty card is 91350938 and the watch is supposedly a 2012 Seamaster Diver 300M
Anyway, I would very much appreciate any help and thoughts please…
Thanks!

As for it being expensive…a couple of things to mention…I paid £2300 rather than £2600, so still expensive, but not quite as expensive, and I only paid that because it looked in very good condition, with zero signs of marks and scratches anywhere, even on the back of the clasp where there always seem to be marks…
Any thoughts on what I should have paid for this? Did I massively overpay, or just by a couple of hunted ££?
