Basically a modern take on the 105.012-65. Very nicely done! 👍

Great, so I didn’t have to buy a ST2 to get a modern SpeedyPro with AML, DON and a step dial? 😗

What’s the reason for the “human space missions” instead of “manned”? Gender equality? Humanoid robots going into space blur the lines between manned and umanned? 😕😕

Is it my eyes (at these early hours in the morning) that are seeing shorter, closer to the case pushers?

Yes, shorter in length and larger in diameter. Similar to the ones on the Apollo 11 50th anniversary. Better looking IMO.

Anyone have an idea of a release date?
And suddenly, between the sold out of the last 1861 and the arrival of the 3861, the sold out and yet to release snoopy and the rare 321, you have the opportunity of not a single speedy available in the stores. sounds a game very familiar with our rolex friend.. oh yes can blame it also on COVID for production scheduling issue. the perfect storm, the perfect excuse

So, a homage to the 1960s Speedmasters with a return to the step dial, applied logo, DON bezel insert and tear drop chronograph hand. Nice looking watches and the expected big price increase didn't happen.

However, I guess we can expect the vintage models to increase another 20%

The step dial is my favourite thing about my '71 - I think this new iteration is fantastic.

Well an increase from 4950 CHF to 6250 CHF for the hesalite version is an increase of 20%. Whis is, in my opinion quite sognificant.

Very nice !!

I'm so excited now ! Good job Omega 👍

I just hope the AML (on the AML version) will not be the ugly one of the FOIS...

According to the leaked information, ceramic bezel remains reserved for the 321 Ed White model. So almost 8000 euro difference for the 321 movement and the ceramic bezel.

as well as the smaller case, straight lugs, vintage AML, off-white long lume, flat-link bracelet not to mention the rarity that comes with the Ed White.

But I agree, I wasn't expecting Omega to put a step-dial on the new 3861 speedmaster.

I am excited. I think the COSC upgrade of the movement is wonderful. This together with the return of the step dial and revised/modernized case and bracelet (taper!) make it a winner in my book. The hesalite will cost approx 6 to 6.5k EUR. Upon introduction I will contact my AD 😀

Will go nicely next to my 124060 Sub and vintage Constellation(s).

It's a bit of a shame that they removed the concentric circles in the subdials. The edges of the dial also look kind of soft, which I'm not a fan of. That said, Omega's watches always seem to look better in person.

They (circles) are still there. Zoom in and look closely on the bottom
Half of the sub dials. They just got lost on that picture due to low resolution.

So far I like it, a Lot!
A modern day 105.012 without making a straight 1to1 copy/homage, well done Omega, well done.

Is it just me or do those lugs look fantastic. 🥰
Big contender for being my first modern Speedy...

It looks like Omega have done a great job on this evolution, case back is a bit busy now with additional text but not often you look at that. Overall a success, only the price increase hurts after a number of increases over the past couple of years.

The strap options seem a bit cheap (leather and nylon) compared to old (alligator) giving them more profit from the price increase.

the lume plots look like they are sunken into the dial. love the overall look, nice iteration
