·I’m confused by the Boutique situation. I have a deposit down and they sound relatively sure that they’ll get it soon if one puts down a deposit. It sounded like omega is fulfilling orders once they have the deposit.
The Apollo 11 bracelet on the new 3861 Speedy is a good fit. More solid than the fit on my previous generation 1863 Speedy. I also tried it using the endlinks from the Forstner bracelet, but those endlinks stick out just a bit compared to the Apollo endlinks, and the "tabs" on the Forstner links really aren't required for a solid fit on the 3861 the way they are on the 1863.

Are people having a lot of trouble finding these? The markup on C24 seem ridiculous. Even the Canopus Gold version is being listed for a premium.

I'd wait 6 months when the stores have them out the back and you can get a decent discount
Hey, that's similar my plan... give or take a few months 😉
That’s looks great. I thought the Apollo 11 bracelet didn’t fit the 3861 as per another users posts. Do you mind posting a picture of the back. Is it a smooth fit?
I've just had a look at my 311.30.42.30.01.005 - gosh, what a mouthful - and nope, no concentric circles to be had on this reference.
Just wanted to follow up, as I had recalled someone had stated that this reference didn't have concentric circles in the sub-dials. I happen to have one in the shop, and yes when looking at the dial, under the crystal, it sure looks like there aren't any concentric circles. Even with the movement out of the case they don't seem to be there:
But as I was cleaning the dial on reassembly, wearing a loupe, I saw a hint of them. So shot these under the microscope:
The concentric circles are certainly there, but they are very subtle so hard to see with the naked eye. In general the dial finish is "heavier" or "thicker" than it is on previous versions, so not sure if this is some change in manufacturing that caused this, but the circles are definitely there.
Cheers, Al
How many editions are there to the Moonwatch?
Define "edition"
''Edition'' was not the word I initially had my finger on, this is what I gathered from an online dictionary.
''one of a series of printings; a version of anything, printed or not: This is the latest edition of the Word program.
Not to be confused with:
addition – the act of adding or uniting: We are going to have an addition to our family.''
The word model and version would have been best. Today I skipped the coffee I'll blame that. What I'm asking is how many models are there of the Moonwatch aside from the Reduced. How many versions are there even though I assume there's only a few.
Al actually has my speedy in for servicing right now and the pics above are from my watch 😀
Before sending for service I looked long and hard for circles with the supplied loop in the big box and could not see anything. Good to know they are in fact there!
Great pics to capture them. Thanks for following up!
