路I'm surprised people seem to be pushing the sapphire bracelet model so high above list. Currently, there's one on Chrono24 for 11k, which strikes me as really quite high, but I also can't seem to find any other for sale on the site. Is that just an outlier or are there some "sold" listings that are within normal/expected prices?

I thought the same as well. I guess demand definitely overcame supply... I haven't seen any listings for the new 3861 yet.

路Looks wise the nice bracelet seems like a win, but how are people who have one or seen one in person finding the quality as it seems quite flimsy

路What is DNN Bezel
I was not in earnest so don't go collecting them, but...
The vintage speedy's (pre 1970 or thereabouts) had what is called in the collecting community a DON bezel. That is a 'dot over 90' bezel. If you look closely at the vintage pieces you will see on the tachymeter a dot over the 90. These bezels were discontinued, and were difficult to source from parts suppliers, or Omega - who often replaced DON bezels with later DNN bezels ('dot next to 90') during service. So DON bezels would often change hands for thousands USD among collectors.
My post was tongue in cheek suggesting that because the the new Speedy's have DON bezels again it will make the now older DNN bezels collectable and hard to find.
I cannot believe I know this obscure piece of watch collecting trivia, but that's what hanging out on OF does to you. Any day now I am going to start knowing wtf people are talking about when they mention different 'end links'. God help me.

路Update on availability. My OB has two Hesalite 3861s in stock. They only received sapphire 3861s the week of launch.

路Are people having a lot of trouble finding these? The markup on C24 seem ridiculous. Even the Canopus Gold version is being listed for a premium.

路It's just a question of time before offer and demand settle in a steady state.... and always keep in mind that "asking" price is not necessarily the same as "sold for" price...
This was upto 6 now its down to 4 and they are all listed for above MSRP. The watch has been out for sometime.
There were more Sub41 listed on C24 two weeks after release than the new sapphire sandwich. Just sayin' not speculating as I am hoping to purchase this at an AD sometime this year.
Local AD is taking deposits for April.

路April is just around the corner. Think of the folks who put deposits down for a Sub41 with a lot longer and less specific wait time.
Delivery in April isn't promised, they are predicting. They haven't seen the first watch yet. 馃榿
