I came across this interesting SEAMASTER 2576 with lovely Breguet numerals on the dial ; it's on C24, and I'm afraid I don't know how to capture the pictures to show you the dial (whoever knows how to copy, I'm interested...), but the seller has sent me a couple of pictures of the movement on request, and this is in my opinion what it is about : my knowledge about Seamaster is a lot lower than on Connies, and according to some infos e.g. "comprehensive survey Omega Seamaster" published by Desmond on his blog, the 2576 "Fat Lugs" is supposed to house a 342, but this example is housing a 344 : so I'm a little bit puzzled, and haven't asked the buyer yet, and thought I'd ask here first for advice.
As far as I understand, both 342 and 344 are Bumpers, probably one being an evolution of the other, and both have been installed in SM around these years, but so far to me, a 344 should not be inside a 2576, or can it ?
Sorry not being able to show any pictures for the time being, and I know you guys always want to lure at one more watch 😉but I assume this is not essential at this point to evaluate whether a 344 is acceptable in a 2576 or not.
