Hello everyone,

I've found this rather well kept Seamaster calibre 501 with papers and box dated 1960 that looks the part IMO.

Would the experts say redial? The seller says it went for complete revision 6mo ago. I've messaged him asking for more photos as well as photos of mouvement and caseback.

Thank you, you've all been a great help since I joined the forum.

Base on what I see in that photo, it's a redial. I think that's what the seller means by complete revision.

Thank you for the prompt response. I should be getting an email with more pictures and a video of the watch. It does look a bit too clean but the pictures are pretty poor quality.

I'll straight up ask once I've seen more pictures.

The photos in the listing are that way for a reason. It is definitely a redial. Do you want to spend 800 euro on it?

It's a redial, just look at the S in Seamaster.
Bingo ! it almost loops at the bottom of the S and the angle looks wrong on it. My eye is not trained enough. Good catch.

That's unfortunate to redial whilst having all of the original paperwork

Crosshair and print are also WAY to BOLD, font is hilarious.

Sellers use language to confuse and comfort the unwary for a reason.
