Hi,

I've been offered this Rolex Oysterdate 6692 Mickey Mouse from 1975 (34mm).

The seller claims that the dial is "original" and not aftermarket.

What do your think, and what would be a fair price?

The seller claims the watch have been served at a Rolex AD and that they would not service the watch if the dial was aftermarket, is this correct?

And information is highly appreciated 😀

Could still be an original dial but that has been repainted, I don't think Rolex ever produced Micke Mouse dials. All is either aftermarket, fake or repainted.

Thanks!

Admin: If this is posted in the wrong category, could it be moved to the Rolex forum?

Best regards

Rolex never sold Mickey Mouse in their dials. Is a modded dial. I would pay as maximum the cost of the same model but clean if you really liked the mod. You will find several mod dials in the market for a different Rolex models.

I thought that at one time Rolex's were sold at a jewelry shop in Disneyworld in FL, and they had Mickey and other characters on the dial.

A good friend of mine bought one of these about two years ago, for his wife. He did a lot of research, and his conclusion was that these (or at least the one he was buying) were Rolex dials modified with a Mickey Mouse. They are not that difficult to find, with some patience. A lot of them seem to be very well done.

We have no idea whether Rolex would service it or not. In any event, a watch from 1975 probably should be serviced by an independent.
