Hi! Im new here and in the watch world.

Im looking for a good entry Seamaster 300m. I have 17cm wrist so im looking for a 36mm. Is worth buying a Quartz if you dont want to spend too much?
And does this look good for 1200 USD
Does it look legit?

Nothing wrong with a quartz model if you can save some money. That’s a 41mm watch though. 2.5k USD is more the ballpark for one of those.

Regardless of whether or not that watch is legit, 10k USD is way overpriced for a Seamaster 300m. A quick google search would’ve told you as much.

And 1k is low enough to raise an eyebrow… even for a quartz I would think.

I see, I would personally wait for a good deal on the automatic version. I’ve seen automatic 2551.80s go for anywhere between 1.2k to 2k online which isn’t much more. 1k for a quartz isn’t a terrible deal though.

My bad, looks like they did make a 36 as well.

Would have thought a full size SMP would suit a 17cm wrist. I first looked at the mid-size but went for the full-fat version.

Yes I agree on the full size choice, especially with the original Bond model you have. If one is going to get the Bond, at least get the exact model and get used to the heft. 👍

For me, the answer to whether to go for a quartz, manual, automatic, solar, tuning fork or, indeed, coal-powered watch comes down to the question:

Why do you want to buy the watch?

If that’s a legit watch, then $1200 is a good price.

But based on these terrible, blurry pictures we can’t really say.

I agree that something looks off with the hour hand—not that it’s too short (it is supposed to be stubby), maybe, but that it’s missing lume on part of it-? It could just be an artifact of a bad photo, though.

I’m also not persuaded by the location of the helium escape valve, which looks too high to me. Shouldn’t it be right on 50, more or less? Again, could just be the result of questionable photography—angle of view, maybe.

I would certainly not buy this watch (or any watch) without much better, sharper photos. If the seller balks at the request, run away and be glad you still have your money.

The hour hand is just partially covered by the rear portion of the second hand. But yes, some better pictures would help.

Thank you all for the answers.
I will not buy that watch.
I will consider the 41mm in automatic. Im looking for a good everyday watch that will last a long time and not too expensive. And I love the look of the bond seamaster.
Im gonna try the 41mm and consider spending around 2500usd instead
