I met this solid gold Connie, while I never saw this combination before, so I wonder if it's a genuine piece or not.
Any insight from experts?

There don't seem to be any red flags: Movement looks good, as well as the dial and the case. That said, I'm not too familiar with the gold hallmarks, so I'll leave it to another member to confirm that they're fine.

Very nice piece, all original. Buy it if the price is reasonable 😉

I'm not familar w/ Vintage Connie, When I Search 168.010, most come w/ SS or Gold Cap version. That makes me wonder in any chance this piece is incorrect.

This looks to be a very nice watch indeed.
Solid gold hidden crown Connies aren’t that common (not sure why) but they do exist, although I can’t remember seeing a 14k version.
Everything about this watch looks correct.

The case is in very good condition
Nice dial with slight bubbling (common on this reference)
Movt looks clean but some rotor rub (easily fixed with a service)

do you have a pic of the outer case back ?
What is the asking price?

as @No Mercy says, depending on price it would certainly be a ‘buy’ from me.

Thanks @No Mercy and @Peemacgee, the seller asked $3200. I don't have outer case back pic on hand, will request seller to provide it.

The case back looks almost as good as the rest of the case - which is very good ( a couple of scuffs and scratches but they wouldn't bother me)

These references of Connies aren't as sought after as some of the more popular references (although they are by me...) and the case is 14k as opposed to 18k, so I think that $3,200 is possibly a little steep.
Price comparisons are a bit difficult as the moment as the GBP£ is so strong right now but I would be happier if the price range was somewhere between $2,500 - $3,000.
As is often said, try and find another in this condition - and in a few weeks time a couple of hundred bucks will be forgotten but you will still have a very lovely watch - so perhaps anything sub-$3,000 would be reasonable.
As a bargaining tool the watch requires a service, which would bring the price down below $3,000

best of luck if you decide to go for it

I once had a 14k 168.004 for sale and it barely sold for eur 1600 if I remember correctly. But it was in lesser condition then this one. But as said above, try to find one cheaper...

This is a nice example. I would definitely be negotiating the price down some, but there are many gold Constellations up for sale from online and bricks and mortar dealers that charge more for over polished, sad old things I would not take as a gift. If it rings your bells, don't turn your back on it assuming that a cheaper one in the same crisp condition will turn up, because they are not at all easy to find in this condition.

While it is no doubt a very nice specimen, you will have to decide if you want a .004 specifically. To my mind, $3000 or more is definitely expensive for one of these, regardless of how uncommon they are. I would say it is about the same or slightly more as for a dog-leg Constellation in similar condition, so buy it only if you are ready to pay a premium that you probably won't be able to get back if you should sell it again.

Thank you all for your valuable inputs. No matter I will buy it or not, I learned a lot in this thread. Now it's all on my own😉

what do you mean like this one? 😀
I'm pretty sure $3,200 wouldn't get anywhere near separating me and this watch 😁

+1 There’s only one solution. Just never sell.

Finally I brought this one after inspect in person, w/ a free service offered. Actually it will be my only Constellation collection, and I guess I'll stop here on Connies(there're too many of them😗)
