A stainless steel case and furniture, black dial Constellation with white cross hairs? With all the redials out there I'm not sure if such a thing actually ever existed.

Not "white". Should be silver gilt. Almost impossible to see that from an internet picture, though.

Yeah the silver lines are stunning. Even better than the white I had envisioned.

I'm assuming these are as rare as hen's teeth?

Yes they are very uncommon. I have seen about 5-6 sold in the past 7 years.
