Don't worry about it, I get my words mixed up quite often. Usually when I'm trying to convince people that I know what I'm talking about and I really know jack skit.
I sold my classic 911 when they brought out the hideous SUV. They later exceeded themselves and brought out the even uglier Panamera.
Did not sell as a direct result, but I really felt Porsche dropped significantly in standing
They sold well, but loads of crap do.
As for Rolex as a brand I can only say that they do not exite me. When, on top of lack of excitement, the brands image on these shores is being the choice of the nouveau rich with no sense but a need to show off, I can easily steer clear.
Sure a roller sub is a classic design, just too many no good wannabees wearing them around here.

And their "choice " of ambassadors are not always too good:

Same here. There is a group of rich kids that come every sunday to shoot at the club where I am an instructor .I've wanted to ask them why they all wear the same Rolex Subs but they are so far up their own arses they look the other way if I say so much as good morning to them.
Seems they mostly agree they get more bling for the bucks with Rolex.
Confusing good taste and standing with what you can wrestle out of your credit cards is unfortunately quite common.

Think he just cleaned out the Rolex shop in Havana when everyone fled... Power to the people indeed. Actually I read that it was so he could keep track of three time zones....his friend Che was a little more conventional. To give it context though, you have to bear in mind the 'tool watch' status of Rolex at the time, not the associated bling factor as is now...
