interesting dial on Omega Geneve 552 movement watch

I have just received a watch as a present, I dove in to do some research but am struggling to find the same watch anywhere. Ive heard some things about custom omega watches etc, I just wanted to understand a bit more about this watch, check the authenticity etc. It has an engravement on the back with a persons name and the year 1969. What I find interesting is the fact that it says both omega and automatic with Geneve below and no date, with arabic numbers. It is the only watch I can find with this combination. It might be worth mentioning it is the 9ct gold edition.
Any help is much appreciated. Pictures are included below :

That style dial seems to have been used predominantly in the UK.

Not a custom job, just a know dial variation that as @gatorcpa says, is beloved to have been more common in the UK.
I’ve had several in steel.
