I'm hoping to learn more about this vintage 1950ish Seamaster that I inherited from my grandfather (i.e., year, model, reference number, any fun facts or history, etc.). Here's what I know so far:
(1) it's authentic, though the "Seamaster" lettering was redone at some point, hence the different font.
(2) it's roughly 32mm.
(3) the crown was replaced at some point, hence why it doesn't have the Omega symbol on it.
(4) As pictured, inside the case is written "G6518 W321208"
It's not in the best condition, but the bumper movement still works great and it's an important family heirloom.

Thank you in advance for helping me learn more about this piece and my own family!

US-cased (by Wadsworth) watch, not a Seamaster. That was probably just added when the dial was repainted. It's also not a bumper, it's a full rotor automatic with cal 500. If you move the rotor, you can read off the movement serial number and look up the production year in a table. Aside from that, google omega G6518 and you will find a lot of information.
